raghu, it looks like your post was deleted. Get used to it if you want to post over there and have a differing opinion.

I used to like Hardocp because of their different testing methodology as another data point that looked at things from a different angle, then following the site and the reviewers closer, I stopped going there entirely. It wasn't even so much the perceived bias and such as it was the complete dismissal of any community feedback and the we're always right no matter what type of attitude. . . no thanks.

Kyle and Brent are being reassured by the members over there that they are the greatest reviewers ever so I think their echo chamber is functioning perfectly. I got fed up with the favoritism of the place a couple of years ago and walked away after telling Domo and Kyle off. The place has become more like some cool kids club than a hardware review site. I want dispassionate, informed hardware reviews, not speculation and cheap shots from guys who refuse to grow up.

[H] is not where it's at.

Yeah, that is their thing, delete when they get called out.

Shame how fast they have fallen, and now, they got a huge chip on their shoulders.

The only real problem with the Nano at this stage of the game is, the same problem they had with the Fury & Fury X. They just can't make them fast enough.
For the price, sure, everyone would love to get new stuff cheap, nothing new there.

Nano likely won't handle much above it's power limit.

It's power delivery circuitry is cut down for the small space and for the 175W power limit.
Agreed. That goes COMPLETELY against the concept of Nano. You want to OC and WC yourself, get a regular Fury. (Perhaps the OCing will come later).

Bottom line is Nano was designed to run stock.

I'm interested in how it performs in an array games settings.

I am curious to see Nano's power consumption with that same -50% power limit lol. That would be interesting. That combined with its performance of course lol.

That's pretty smexy. This is nice too, I like the brushed alum look and side panel.

http://www.raijintek.com/en/products_detail.php?ProductID=17

Also I think this is a lot smaller than a Silverstone SG5/6?

Nah, that case (the Raijintek) is actually quite a bit larger (13.4 liters) than the SG05/06 (10.8 liters). The Raijintek is basically a slightly enlarged aluminium SG05 put on it's side and with no perforations for the GPU to draw air through. If you wan't an all aluminium case I would probably prefer either the PC-Q01 (13.3 liters) or the PC-Q21 (8.6 liters), as both of those should have better ventilation for the GPU (just don't put them on a carpeted floor).

The Osmi case I linked is 8.1 liters.

@antihelten Thanks, you are right. I had an SG05 a few years ago, it was small but I want something even smaller if possible.

There's now some excellent SFX PSU from Silverstone too, so it makes for a very efficient mITX build in a small space.

I think my next rig will be a mITX again.

Maybe AMD has more Nano product this time around, a quick check on newegg shows that only 2 "brands"(Gigabyte & XFX) have sold out, and 3 (Asus, Sapphire, PowerColor) still are available.
Or maybe people just don't want the Nano as bad as they want the Fury.

If I had even been willing to wait this long, I would have gotten the Fury X and not the Nano. I love the Nano as a product, but the Fury X is the same price, and is cool.

Maybe AMD focused more product to Nano than Fury X since many people have an issue with WC for some reason?

I don't think many people actually have an issue with the AIO. Pretty much everyone I've heard pan it wouldn't buy an AMD card anyway.

Assuming AMD has been stockpiling the best chips for Nano, one does have to wonder, where will the chips that don't meet Nano/Fury/Fury X specs will go.
Maybe there is a Fury (or Nano) lite version coming, since I don't see AMD just tossing them out.
Sure, it would be a direct competitor to the 390 & 390X, but, I don't see that as a big issue. 390 & 390X are GCN 1.1, and Fury (& 380) are GCN 1.2.
They could even call it 395X.

I had suggested that Apple would be using it in the Skylake iMac. It doesn't seem like they are using it though; looks more like Grenada.

I still think the majority of small form factor cases can fit a 120mm rad so the Fury X is the smarter buy over the nano in the vast majorty of situation. Getting heat out of a small case with the AIO is ideal as well.

Plus Fury X is much sexier.

good thing with smaller cards, cheaper to manufacture, cheaper to transport and more space on the shelf. Next year be the nano year

From Anandtech's review of Nano, i see small performance difference between Nano and 970 Mini at 1080p. Who the hell will buy this card if want to play games at 1080p in an mini itx case when 970 mini is half the price for about 10% less performance at 1080p?
However if someone wants to play at 4k for some reason in a mini itx case then one Nano isn't going to be enough anyways for 60fps. You would need two which you can't do as mini itx mobos don't support two video cards not to mention $1300 price tag for two of them.
Looks like a lose lose situation for AMD.

For a luxury user, you can use VSR at 1080p.

If I had a setup to impress people, then I'd have a Fury Nano and a smaller build and VSR on my current setup. However, I don't have guests that often, so I use VSR at 1080p using an R9 290 instead of a Fury X / Nano.

If I start doing AirBNB at my new home, then I will purchase the Arctic Islands variant for my HTPC so that my living room can be more presentable.

Oh no...... I was controlling the upgrade itch so well....... but the nano reality of decent frame rates at 1440 in a mITX form factor is making my hands a bit shaky. Must resist

As awesome as that looks, wouldn't it make a lot more sense to do that to the Fury X?

Nano is a bit smaller. But I can't imagine there would be very many cases suitable for water cooling that it would matter. It is more efficient. To some people that's been hugely important up until now.

Personally, I would get the Sapphire Fury. Unlike the Asus it's a reference board, so you can get a block for it. It's ~$100 cheaper, and then go the unlock route to see if I can get some free performance that way.

Yeah. Due to the placement of the power connector, it's actually a longer card than the Fury X when you compare both in a watercooled build. I guess if you want a really efficient watercooled build?
