I recently moved from a Sensor to a Mach 3, and as far as I can tell, the third blade just makes it harder to cleanly shave my sideburns, and has no real benefit the rest of the time. IMO anything more than two blades is just silly. Maybe if I owned stock in Gillette I would feel differently.

I use a Schick Xtreme 3 for my head, and usually a Mach 3 for my face. I find the Schick fits my head better with its slight curvature, and they're cheap.

To shave your head properly, you need to go with and against the grain. Cream, shave, cream, shave.... have been doing it twice a week for about a year and have never had any razor burn. Uses Edge sensitive skin cream.

Never tried Schick Quattro yet, and see no need to when the triple is working fine.

 

the mach3 doesn't work well for me unless i go against the direction of hair - which results in razor burn

the schick extreme 3 blows it away, at least for me...plus it's cheaper and they last longer

haven't tried the quattro yet

Quattro sucks for shaving. I couldn't shave my head closely at all with it. I just use my Mach3 now
