a guy i stayed with in singapore took a lot of motorcycle trips through south eastern asia. he said in vietnam you could rent a machine gun to fire at a goat tied to a post for like $10.

In that video, he says that the guy was making guns with his bare hands. But he was holding old guns that were produced in a factory. I didn't see any metalworking equipment such as lathes or milling machines there, so it would have been impossible to actually build a gun.

More likely they were simply reconditioning old guns, which would make sense since that place is like a scrapyard for old guns.

The mountains of pakistan and afganistan are well known for their gunsmiths who handcraft guns with mostly handtools. A lot of the AK's found in those parts of the world are handcrafted by these gunsmiths.

There is a reason the CIA had factories in Pakistan making AK's for the Mujahadden. It's apparently in their blood.

I'd be surprised if more than a couple of the guns in that video were actually factory originals. The gunsmiths of Khyber Pass can make some very convincing copies of all kinds of guns just by hand.

Edit: Nevermind, I was thinking of when he referred to them as living in caves, making guns, etc.. which makes no sense. Is there any reason to believe that they have anything to do with the Taliban?
