This is my final warning to you, stay out of my thread if all you can do is crap. Otherwise, Daddy will be forced to take his belt off son.

This deal is luke warm at best and the said hottie is actually quite cold.
CRT projection tv's can be damaged by static images which cause burnin on them. It doesn't have anything to do with colors. DLP's don't have that problem and LCD's have it much less (contrary to popular belief, LCDs can suffer burnin and I have seen it many times first hand at my job).Originally posted by: Mikeman101
Most projection monitor manufactors Void the warranty if there are signs that you've hooked video game systems to them. For the simple fact that the most recent systems PS2, XBOX, Gamecube etc display too many colors at a given time and can harm the projection assembly. Before hooking all your systems up be sure to read through the Warranty information.

I expect to catch grief like that for a post in OT, but not in Hot Deals.
Makes sense now. You thought you were safe in posting OT stuff here in HD because you'd be sheltered from the hailstorm of OT replies. I shattered that buffer of security you thought you had.
Go post about picking up a "hot" red-head Target cashier in OT, Casanova. Then come back and post about the great YMMV Local B&M you got on a nice TV here.

Good deal jimmyjam, glad to hear someone finally got one. Could the midget see over it on the hand trucks??? I can't wait to get an Xbox 360 on this thing and see what it looks like.
Question for the HDTV gurus, what's the advantage to A DVD player with HDMI output? I was looking into getting one but then realized the Xbox 360 will be the same thing and more.
Also, I now need to build a nice speaker system to go around this new TV. I want to save some and get it right from the beginning (i.e. buying a matched component set, not a HTITB), but until then I need an immediate answer for a speaker system. So for the time being I need a HTITB system for around $500'ish. I've already got a good reciever (to be upgraded later), so are there any sets with just speakers?
I checked out the various HTITHB systems at circuit city tonight (and yes Pellinor, I got the hot chick at the registers phone number tonight too) and liked the Samsung, Panasonic, and LG sets, but could really use all the info I can get before buying.
It's only a temp setup that will eventually move to the bedroom (where all the hottie chashier love making happens) so I want to get something decent as far as decent goes w/ HTITB.
BTW chinkgai:

You see Daddy's taken care of business. He's been sent back to his room (P&N) to think about what he's done.
I regularly play Marvel VS Capcom 2, and Street Fighter 3 on my 30" CRT HDTV and experience no lag. The only time I have even heard of such an issue is with some DLP sets.Originally posted by: PING
There's a slight hitch in playing video games on HDTV. That is there's a lag. I don't have first hand experience with it. No HDTV. But, from what I read because of up scaling that happens.
