And anyone who hasn't read the book thought Kat genuinely liked Peeta. Epic fail of a movie.

I haven't read either book, I did end up seeing the movie last night and it was pretty obvious, to me at least, that

Kat was playing for the cameras, and that the dude had genuine feelings. Is this not the case?

As for the movie overall, I'm very meh about it. Entertaining enough for the 2 hours I sat there, but no desire to ever see it again nor do I care whether or not I catch the sequel.

i feel the same way. hadnt read the books but friends were going so i went along.

it might have been more enjoyable had i read the books, but it was lacking as a stand alone movie

Regret not watching wrath of the titans instead.

Seems kinda disturbing that book/movie about 22 of 24 kids who are trying to kill each other is this popular...

Saw the movie Friday night and have also read the trilogy. Movie was ok but to be honest I don't see how someone who hasn't read the books would be pretty lost. So in that regard I guess I have to say the movie sucks?

1) a minor problem was when Katniss was trapped in the tree. she had some fast heal balm. did she use it all up? if so , WHY?!
why not save some for future use?

ie: when Peeta was hurt, she could have used some for his leg.


2) a moderate problem i had were the 'Sponsors.'
them movie kept on mentioning it, yet it took Haymitch to convince some people to send her some healing balm.

big build up for the Sponsors, but not much happened. big letdown.


3) the ending: the show's producer changed his mind at the last minute about 2 winners?!?
The reason he allowed 2winners was to calm down the rioting districts.

wouldnt the districts riot again with this BS? heck, wouldnt the people in the Capitol also boo this move?

1. She doesn't use it all. Also, you couldn't really tell, but the cut on his leg was very deep and it was severly infected. The healing balm she got was just to soothe the burn and heal the top layer or so of flesh.

2. The mentor for a team talks to sponsors and tells them what he thinks is a worthy item for the team; that's one of his/her main jobs. If Haymitch didn't tell them what they should put money up for, they would just sit there and think hmmm...what does she need?

3. Allowing for two winners was to calm down the districts, yes. But, in the end, they reversed it to show that they truly are in control and even they can change the rules back and destroy life. The only reason they wouldn't let both die was because it would show the inability to control the outcome; letting them both win in the end was "their choice" The people in the capitol just wanted a good show.
