This is a fun, standalone game using the darkplaces engine. This game was created in 11 days by Chris Page (a.k.a Carni) you can e-mail him at rampaging@ru1337.com

In this game, you wake up in your apartment, only to discover the tenants have been turned into a horde of zombies. This is the first chronicle and takes quite a while to beat. Chris did the coding,mapping and modelling, while I did some of the texture work. Download and enjoy!

The engine loads with a gamma error of some sort the result is a totally black screen.

I'm sorry, that's the console. You have to press the escape key to bring up the menu, then go to single player>new game. It's all in the readme.

The Hunted: Chronicle - 1

The Hunted is a series of adventures experienced by a man fighting for his survival.

Installation:

Unzip The Hunted folder onto computer and double clik The Hunted.exe

[Drops you to console when loaded, hit 'escape' to bring up menu and select single player]


Q/A:

Q.Where is my gun at the start?
A. You start unarmed, and essentially defensless.

Q.I picked up a weapon, but I don't know if I recieved it.
A.key [1] is knife and key [2] is the pistol, which are the included possible items to recieve in Chronicle - 1

Q.I can't kill the zombies!
A. Try hitting them then backing up. Repeat until dead, or, re-dead

Q.Where do I go ?!
A. You're the explorer, search every area, chances are these rooms have a purpose.. Right?

Q. That was too short! Where is the rest?
A. in the creation, hold your horses.

The Hunted was made using the darkplaces engine based off the Quake1 Engine by ID-Software

when i first ran it, the whole menu didnt show up.
and you might want to get rid of all the quake logos and things that pop up.
