We encouraged mussilinis takeover of italy, and after the war, rigged elections to discourage a "communist" takeover, fought massive terrorist campagns against democracies in central america, overthrew democracies in Iran, argentina, and other places, and have supported fascist dictatorships all over the world. America spreading democracy is an utter joke. All we have done is to spread misery and hardship for our own profit and gain.

As for the rigging of elections in Italy, Greece, and other European nations. I suggest you read a little on how exactly Eastern Europe fell before saying we rigged the elections.

Maybe you should read about the Marshall plan and come back to tell us the US didnt help democracy flourish when the temptations of communism were so easy to taste.

Since, like you, I have limited time, I will keep my response brief. It is foolish to believe that the US always acts in the interests of democracy, but it is equally foolish to believe that it never does. When you refuse to accept that our beloved US government has done some not so nice things in the past, you're on the same plane as the group that you label the "lunatic left."

The Idea is to make it better. Not to make it worse like those countries you just listed. I don't want to live in an america that can be put in the same sentence as those countries without "as opposed to" or "in contrast" or something with similar meaning seperating the two.

So, $200 BILLION later, we will have a terrorist state that might merge countries with Iran in order to make one larger, stronger country.
