Samsung Flip 5, and Watch 6 classic.

Flip 5, other than the big front screen is basically the same. But with trading in directly to Samsung, a new phone is only $100, a no brainer for me. The clear case is pretty nice, changing colors with the colored inset is a neat trick. Be some interesting after market ones I am sure. The case is very slick though, obviously as it is hard plastic. I am in gym clothes 90% of the time other than work, and I can see it slipping out of my pocket easily sitting down. May have to change to a normal case. The front screen is very usable, can respond to texts, check weather, easier for selfies, etc. With selfies it uses the real camera, not the one from the screen when the phone is opened. Much better quality to take them with. I have had every flip, happy with their progress. I detest a huge phone in my pocket.

The Watch 6 classic (on the right), the rotating bezel is back. SO much better with it, they should never remove it again. Only 1mm bigger than my Watch 5 Pro, but at just $250 with my discounts, and selling my Watch 5 Pro for $250, it was only $50. After taxes new phone and watch little over $200. Better battery, bigger screen, and rotating bezel, easily worth $50. Wish my wife's iPhones were this cheap to upgrade.

I think I see a dead pixel...
Ugh... maybe. I love the way this monitor looks, but after some extended gameplay my FPS have dropped dramatically over my Asus 34" WS, same resolution. It is almost unplayable. My main game is BF 2042, and it is just so much worse performing I am tempted to go back to the Asus and sell the Alienware OLED. I understand different tech and refresh rates, etc. But on a 3080Ti it should not be in the 30's even with on low settings in the game with everything off. There was an update to the game and new NV drivers, hopefully it has changed.

gun cleaning mat

set of these 8"x6" risers to set my desktop speakers on, for a 3" lift ( wanted an old-world feel, not modern stands ) hope they aren't too chintzy

My sister had this idea for my birthday, a weather station. I returned it and got the wifi version:

Logia 7-in-1 Wi-fi Weather Station, Weather Monitoring W/ Solar Panel & Sensors

I got this "used" version for ~67%, received a few days ago. Haven't installed it yet. Looks brand new entirely:

That looks a lot shorter than the "UGLY" Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G for $443 from KEH I bought for my D850 a few months ago.

Here's a review of an earlier model, DI VC USD "G1"

Can't say I'm too worried about how pretty the lens is, thankfully
Seems like the G2 is a big improvement over the G1. My other choice was the Nikon 24-70 non-VR

I think this is the last thing I was waiting on, but there's a non zero chance I'll get a surprise package.

an xray. smashed my finger using a slide hammer.
Just before you did it, your mind told you to stop. But it was too late by then. Happens to me often. Just few days ago, sliced into skin with a knife underneath the nail of my left index finger while trying to cut off the green watermelon skin. Seems it was just the epidermal layer. Looked nasty for a few days but seems to have healed nicely.

Bummer. Is it gonna be alright?

The deductible on my homeowners insurance.
yeah finger is fine. didn't break it!
went to urgent care, so insurance should be happy to pick up that tab. better than an ER visit.

the scary part wasn't even the finger. after i smashed it, it obviously hurt. cleaned off the finger, took some tylenol, wrapped it in a bandaid, and then i started feeling light headed. i woke up on the floor a little bit later, confused as to exactly what had happened. took me a sec to get my bearings again. that's what got me to go to urgent care

That looks heavy. Light wireless mice are the jam.

I actually prefer heavier mice, years ago had a logitech that had weights that you could add to it. At about 3.5oz it is a bit heavy though.
You really should get that dead pixel fixed...

Damn you, didn't see that until you pointed it out. Now I cant unsee it. Im not very picky though RMA'ing can be a hassle. I'll look into it though, less than 2 months old.
