Here is the finished product. It turned out incredible. I feel like it's a piece of art and I don't even wanna use it just look at it lol.

And it is a controller for all consoles and PC. I will be using it on PS5 primarily though.

Err where is the joystick?

Oh neat! This is for retro gaming, correct? I dipped into the hobby back in 09 but didn't have the knowledge to build a controller myself from parts, and playing old arcade games on keyboard wasn't quite hitting the spot.

Never said it was a joystick

This is a leverless controller. The first one that came out with it was Hitbox and it's also basically known as hitbox layout.

Instead of a joystick, you use your left hand fingers for the directions, similar WASD keyboard kind of, but more closer to ASD and spacebar to jump.

So ring finger is left, middle finger is down, and right finger is left. Then your thumb is up. Those 4 buttons with the black outline and pink inside are the ones I'm referring to. If you look at the way it's shaped, it follows the contour of your fingers of your left hand when relaxed.

I've been borrowing my buddies for a few months and enjoyed it and wanted to make my own with a custom right side layout similar to my normal joystick that I use. The "standard" for the hitbox layout is offset a bit which I don't like much and they are 24mm buttons and I like 30mm buttons.

It can be but I am using this for Street Fighter 6 on PS5.

xReal Glasses - plugs into my laptop/steamdeck/phone a bit blurry on the edges but fine for reading and perfect for gaming/movies

Had my Japanese knives on a metal magnetic mount but changed to a slightly longer, slightly more powerful, magnetic wooden mount. More sturdy hold, and less chance to scratch the knives.

Very unique santoku you got there. Custom or is there a story behind it? I'm guessing the last 3 are carbon steel?

The last big knifeand the nakiri are carbon steel, plus the first one, the paring knife. But the 2nd to last is a light and nimble lazer of a kirtsuke chef's knife in SG2 stainless, by Nigara Hamono.

The santoku is not custom, but a Yu Kurosaki. A very highly regarded knife maker, it is also SG2 steel. Also a very light laser blade. Definitely not cutting pumpkin or thick-skinned squash with either the santoku or the SS kirtsuke.

Thats what the last heavy chef's knife is for or the nakiri.

Is the AR part annoying or good?
i tried it once for a bit but haven't played with it since, i think i need to play around with the setting a bit but it's currently in alpha/beta testing on windows 11 (have not tried it on iOS yet as i'm waiting for lightning->hdmi cable to arrive), more looking at it as a monitor replacement for while i'm on the road/traveling and for the steamdeck

Have you used a Quest or similar VR headset in the past?

I have not

I'd be curious how the AR would compare to a Quest VR. Not too keen on spending $3,500 on the Apple VR headset. My first car 20 years ago was $2,400 lol.

Hawaiian rum aged in ex-bourbon casks. The proof is a bit low for my liking but still very nice.

I got a custom DIY usb cable kit to make a USB cable to match my new arcade controller and thought it came out pretty well. Had I known how much of a hassle it would be to make it though, with the sleeving just being a pain in the ass, I may not have done it lol. But I do like the end result.

Yah, none of those are the same color, nor length.
