An additional 16 GB of DDR4 for my desktop and a cross-country flight to Arizona after Christmas to see the in-laws.

The fun part for the RAM is that it is now a bit of mix-and-match, despite being the same make/model. G.Skill changed who their supplier was for this part at some point, so hooray for me and any potential future gremlins [so far, no problems though].

Those boosters seem to be hit and miss for me. If the battery is only slightly flat it will work, if it's completely flat it won't, defeating the purpose. It also does a lot of weird relay clicking noises indicating to me that it keeps taking itself out of circuit for some reason. Probably complaining that the car battery is shot... yeah, that's why I'm using it!

Put this one on the back floorboard so I can check the charge periodically. Behind the seat before. Gonna be pissed if ir doesn't work when I need it.

My Tacoma battery gives zero warning before it goes out. Fine to eff you from 1 crank to the next.

This just came in the mail today:

5x 48v 20 amp Eltek Valere V1000A rectifiers. Only really needed like 2 but per unit it was cheaper to buy the lot of 5 and now I have spares. Still waiting for the shelf that will accept them, that's on the way as well.

This is part of a major power overhaul I'll be doing in my server room eventually. Had been watching ebay on and off and came across two listings, this one, and one for the compatible shelf, so went for it. Total came up to $572.99.

I figure each rectifier can do 1,080w at 54v if the 20a rating is throughout all voltage ranges so just one is more than enough for my whole rack, including my two workstations which I'll also be adding to that system. I will run 3 for redundancy since the shelf takes 3.

This on it's own might end up being the cheapest part of the upgrade though since I still need to buy the batteries and the inverters and all the wiring/fuse blocks/breakers etc but I was glad to find this as it's the hardest part to source out. You can't just buy this sort of stuff new as a regular consumer.

End goal is to pretty much run all important stuff off this system and also add solar power to it once I setup the automation for that. My current server setup is a 12v 750w inverter-charger and it's worked fine but I've been wanting to go 48vdc dual conversion for a long time so it's cool to be closer to that goal.

LG OLED C3 83" with Govee lights. Upgraded our 77" of the same, putting it downstairs. Little apprehensive about the Govee lights, being over the top. But they're actually very enhancing. They go a bit crazy with football, but for movies and gaming they're great.

Edit, it's a C3 not a C2.

That's cool, the lights change based on what's on the screen? I always thought that would make a cool arduino project but guess they are actually making TVs that do that now.

Going to want to check if you can revive those two dead pixels though.

LED back lights on TVs are fine if you keep them at the correct white temperature. It's actually better for the eyes and looks like a little more contrast. Having a light show is ridiculous when you're trying to watch something. I mean maybe at a club rolling on e and doing bumps of K.

My #FirstWorldProblem is that my current rental is only big enough for a 65" LOL
I have only two wall I can use because of all the windows on one side and two large entrances to the Livingroom. Plenty of room on the other wall, but then our furniture layout would be stupid <shrug>
