I picked up a Samsung 990 Pro 4tb due to the sale and I had some rewards points to use at best Buy etc. I also bought a 6 pack of beer after work and a piece of beef jerky.
Same here, except no rewards points or beer. Should have gotten some beer. Could have boiled brats.

Got this desktop firepit because I never use the one outside except once or twice per year and then mostly viewed from the monitors.

But I don't like candles or incense since there's a lot of particulate residue. Most probably gets caught (eventually) in the fairly dense, accordion style furnace filter but it's not technically true HEPA. Note, I have my reasons for not using HEPA but let's skip that.

Unfortunately, my OCD still has issues with fire indoors. So I'm not sure how much this is going to be used but I so love the concept.

edit: It uses ethanol denatured with methanol so at least in theory, using almost 200 proof ethanol should allow it to burn cleanly.

I've sorta outgrown the fire pit so I've started experimenting again with alcohol wicks.

Got a few rolls of lamp wicks (about .5 inches wide). Put 6 together and used a stainless steel zip tie. Those got stuffed into a tall boy bottle with 95% denatured ethanol.

It's quite a nice flame. Didn't really think ahead about putting it out. Tin foil cone I guess.

Yea, and make sure that bottle's in a super safe location. That's about the most dangerous form of indoor fire. It's one bump away from being a molotov cocktail.

Oh, sorry. That's the connection with the fire pit. I put the bottle in the receptacle for the small can of flammables. A tall bottle is narrow enough to fit easily.

The the bottle neck alone is higher than the 4 glass panels and the flame is quite tall. But the whole assembly is in a safe place.

Just received mine today, but now I'll need the rest of the PC components for a new build. So far, Black Friday deals are a bit underwhelming.

The P5 Plus 2TB dropped to $89 for BF. Starting to second guess the 4TB impulse buy.

Installed tonight. It works. Naturally, the drive I'm replacing was behind the video card. Double plus naturally, the video card has custom support brackets. Also, today I learned that M.2 drives are held in place by screws so small, they would give a watchmaker fits.

I magnetized most of my screwdrivers and the external enclosure I bought to repurpose the old drive came with one.

Old hard drive magnets work great for magnetizing screwdrivers.

I made a magnetizer coil so I can magnetize my screwdrivers. I got carried away once and was just magnetizing all the things. I really do not recommend magnetizing scissors or utensils, it's a pita when everything sticks to them lmao.
