I sometimes toy with getting a fancy espresso machine, but I've been ok with having the grinder and drip machine separate. The espresso gives more control I imagine though.
Drip coffee and espresso are pretty different. Most people who like one dislike the other!

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D combo at Micro Center, for a new build.
Nice! The last build I did for myself was a i7 6700 Skylake and I'm kinda getting the itch to do another. Those X3D Ryzens are pretty sweet.

Just bought some new burners for my furnace. I've never cleaned it (11 years...) and the burners were pretty corroded.

Also got some BNC/RCA adapters and Phoenix connectors so I can start making cables to hook up my old videogame systems to my Extron switcher.

err you know furnace filters exist to protect the equipment right? are you replacing those regularly? I don't see how a burner can corrode unless you got water going into your furnace.

Bought a Roborock Q8 Max+ vacuum/mop combo. Looking forward to trying it out when we get it. Mostly interested in the mopping ability. I know it's not going to do a serious job, but our house is 90% tile so if it generally helps keep the floors clean the wife will be happy.

This will be my 2nd robot vacuum. The first was an iRobot I think and it died on me after about 9 mos of use. If did really well picking up pet hair and debris but it didn't to a good job mapping and avoiding objects. The new one has object detection to avoid things, but that function is getting mixed reviews. We'll see...

The burner part is a whole separate system and the air intake comes from outside then exhausts back outside. There usually is not a filter. Come to think of it I'm kinda surprised they don't have filters for that intake air, I guess it would restrict the flow too much so they just count on any dust being burned up and residu being rejected back outside with the exhaust. The outside air in winter is also rather clean as there's no vegetation or anything active so no pollen or anything of that sort.

I am not sure but I believe the combustion process creates water vapor which collects and condenses. I know my furnace has a catch can and a pump to pump water into the drain in my utility room. The last HVAC tech that was here advised me to replace the pump preemptively as they go out.

Before Thanksgiving: purchased a 75" Sony X90L to replace my 65" LG C1 which we moved into another room. I was worried that the PQ wouldn't be as good. It's perfectly fine.

Don't forget, you can pay off part of it with some CPU mining with Nicehash running in the background.
Electrons are fairly expensive in California, so I'll pass. As high as 74c/kWh in the summer, above baseline:

I'm way overdue, Skylake is a rocket ship compared to my last desktop PC.

We're mid-cycle in Ryzen 7000 and RDNA 3/GeForce 40, so I'd suggest waiting for Zen 5 and or GPU refreshes.

Well that is probably true of all force air furnace. The air filter protects the fan and heat exchanger, but not the burner. So even with suboptimal combustion you are protected from CO.

Wow I thought the rates here in Ontario were high. Leave it to California for making things more expensive than even here in Canada lol.

That's what our rates look like: https://www.hydroone.com/rates-and-billing/rates-and-charges/electricity-pricing-and-costs
