Do you find it's worth getting expensive glass? All I've used are cheapies, and I find them perfectly satisfactory. Some came from the dollar store, some from amazon @ 2/~$6, and the one I'm using now came with my $11 phone case. It's cracked, but the crack isn't obtrusive, and I have another one that came with the case. I figure I'll use that if/when mine gets really bad.

edit:
or maybe yours were cheap. I saw the S24, and simultaneously read it as a model# and a price :^D
I buy the cheap ones from Amazon. Totally worth it as my wife especially likes to drop her phone and shove it in her pockets with keys etc.

Those s24s are nice!
It's funny. I just put new glass on my pixel 6 and my wife's pixel 7 last night. They were totally shedooby

Another Sar-i Sang specimen, marialite on calcite.

I mentioned that lapis lazuli from Sar-i Sang is is found in King Tut’s funeral mask. Finding lapis at the Bhirrana site in India means that we live closer in time to Tutankhamun than Tutankhamen did to the earliest miners at Sar-i Sang by a thousand years. Where I grew up had barely emerged from under the glaciers of the last ice age when Sar-i Sang was first mined.

Someone dropped it while handling it, heard the sound of something breaking inside and promptly made sure it would never get to its intended destination!
Fedex has a QA department. When boxes get damaged, they get sent to QA to check over. They repackage or notify the shipper that package was damaged/destroyed. Usually because the shipper didnt package properly. Stuff just doesnt get disapeared or internal security will be looking for it.

I have some specimens I have collected on the job.
I'll take some pics.
This 200 lb nugget has some pretty cool inclusions in it. I don't think it's a coprolite, they look like shells maybe but also like glass. It's really weird. Looks great when it's wet, like all rocks that you bring home.

Coprolite is always the answer.

Looks like pematitic granite with the amphiboles converted to mica. Are the black spots flakey?

Yes the whole thing's a little bit crumbly.
The amphiboles converted to mica makes sense. Thank you!
It will be a garden rock at the new house.

I came very close to getting that hatchet, but ended up getting something different. I thought it looked very nice. Italian, right?

Just bought a "used" Lepai LP-2020A+ Class-T 20 watt Hi-Fi Stereo Digital Amplifier with Power Supply off Ebay that looks as new in the photos. I have 3 but one's almost useless. The Class T is real hard to find right now, new or used for some reason, Out of Stock. Paying $28.15 after tax and shipping.

The Class D Lepai's (sometimes branded Lepy) are all over. They look identical to the Class T (except when the Class T says it's Class T on the unit), but they are said to be inferior in the electronics.

I'm always amazed at what those little Lepais can do. Anytime I find some monkey coffins, I crank them up to see what I can get! My buddy's dad had some from his stint in Vietnam & they sounded awesome! We set them up on his TV haha.
