I hate you. I lust after it but have no use for it.
i don't have an immediate need. but i'll find one for it

i also want to do some of those shots where you make the sun/moon look extra large. a super long lens is desirable for that effect.

I can't remember the last time I took the 6D out of the bag...

The best camera is the one you have on you! I do enjoy the process with a dedicated camera. Yes it's heavy, and sometimes clunky, but when you get the shot with that *click* oooo it just feels good!

But I don't carry it with me everywhere I go, unlike my cell phone, of course!

Got the second part of my recent purchase - a 6" SCT to go with my new tripod and mount. No more Go-to.

Same. My 77D only comes out when I'm going somewhere special and I might want to get those great shots I would consider printing.

is the scope just for observation or do you have a tracker + camera port for astrophotgraphy as well? i've seen some bonkers photos from astro setups.

It's all manual - visual only. Astrophotography is a whole separate beast.

I have a go-to computerized mount too (alt-az, not equatorial, so not good for photos), but I'm looking to sell it. I just didn't personally like the style.

I'd love to get a telescope that can fit a camera at some point. I have a cheap telephoto lens that I've used to get decent shots of the moon and such but the biggest issue is that camera tripods in general are just not stable enough for big lenses so it's very hard to aim since it just wobbles all over the place any time you try to make an adjustment. There's no real way to fine tune it. Telescopes tend to have way better controls.

Use a remote for the camera. It makes a huge difference.

Remote and/or timer could help you with that issue.

As for astrophotography, it's often more than just the telescope. If you want anything beyond moon pictures, you often need a good tracking mount (which is often more expensive than what you might need for visual use), a modified or astro camera, and software to do image stacking. People will stack hundreds or more frames to get final photos. Astrophotography can be a big money pit.

I just have the telescope to look at cool shit in the sky: planets and the moon when they're up, double stars, nebula, and star clusters.

I use a remote, but just adjusting it is tricky as it wobbles a lot as there is no way to fine tune it, have to unscrew it, move it, then screw it back, then hope it lands in the right spot when you let go. And yeah the tracking on a telescope would help a lot too to stay on the same object.

I have also tried using two tripods, it makes it a little better. One on camera, one on lens.

I bought carbon wheels for my road bike a month ago and was able to take it out for a Sunday ride. I'm not convinced these wheels makes me all that much faster, but they do sure look and sound nice.

So it was my birthday this month...

I didn't buy it... but my brother and family did.

We had like a 15 person private Omkase with a extremely fresh caught Tuna.

I didn't even want to know the final bill for this... as i think it would of made my entire night a mess.
But it was absolutely delicious as fresh sushi and sashimi.

The cheif butchered that tuna and other fish really good.
damn dude. that is fucking epic. when am I coming over for dinner again?

I have a bike that needs a new front tire, I need to get on fixing that lol. I just keep forgetting. Need to check the size and get a tube, or I might just bring it to a sporting place and they can do it for me. Been years since I rode a bike.
