What paint job? Ask away. Yes my plaster walls are old and repaired many times over the last 100 years if that’s what you mean!
Well, mine are 87...so there. Actually ripped a lot of them out for reasons...

The wall plate, mate, the wall plate.

The angle? Every single outlet and switch in the old part of the house is at least 10 degrees from vertical. They were drunk for sure.

edit: it looks painted in the pic doesn’t it. Here you go.

The paint on them.

I'm not busting cause I'm far from a craftsman.
See the edit on the above post. I assure you they are clean. Blame weird iPhone processing.

Edit 2: although, nothing wrong with a little paint on outlet covers .. this is elsewhere in the house:

I like uneven plaster. In fact, that's why I like plaster, It's more interesting to look at than glass flat drywall. PITA to deal with though when you want to do something with the walls.

I recently had the plaster on the main floor all gone over with fresh because it was this horrible mottled texture that looked like chicken pox. The guys did such a good job that it is now actually smoother than drywall. Before I painted it it felt like glass. Give it another 100 years of repairs I guess .. but the craft has come a long way!

Ours were done well and looked liked waves from the side. But no insulation between the outside.

I like plank flooring, but it's gotta be in the right house. Otherwise hardwood and tile are kings.

Hey, I bought it as a working truck so I just had to show that I could put a full sheet of plywood in it.

Good news and bad news.

Good news. The blinds for the rest of the house are on the truck and out for delivery.

The bad news. My truck needs work and I can't find a mechanic to work on it. They all say the same thing, it is too difficult to get parts. I can do the engine work, but it needs work on the transmission and that I can't/won't do. In fact, that is why you can see the truck through the window. I pulled it in the backyard to do some work on it. Right now just trying to remove all the gunk on it so I can work on it without turning my arms black.

Funny I happen to have a diecast version of that model truck or at least similar era. My dad has a huge collection and has been selling off lot of it since it was taking up too much space in the house and he gave me a few.

That's the classic old signifier for a NYC subway station. You don't see too many around anymore but there are some still in the city.

Not just bought but wife got me a Ryobi 9ft pole saw and 40v blower for Father’s Day.

Came in handy this week when my trees got blown up by Hurricane Beryl.

Evil Aunt Kathy figured out how to tax the foamers lol.
It's my first piece of any kind of mass transit related gear, though I have yet to go to the transit museum. It was too cool to pass up. I have always admired the maps though. This is my favorite NYC subway map and wish they would use it as the primary.
