My big black friday score was quick release clamps for my mill, and a bolt :^D I could've used the clamps today, and I was tempted to wait, but I was off work, and that log was holding up other stuff, so I used a wrench like a neanderthal.

I also got a War & Peas book and sticker pack for my daughter, but that doesn't count as bf deal cause their coupon code didn't work when I entered it. I read their comics online without giving them money, so I'm not worried about it. I don't need to nickle/dime indie artists.

I got my first flashdrive free from compusa for buying something. Can't remember what. It was a 128mb drive, and it felt like a treasure. I think they were selling >$50 at the time. 128gb for $5 is ridiculous :^D
A 1GB USB 2.0 Flash drive 2004 cost $99.

Entering the world of merino wool socks. Ordered some Darn Tough Tactical pairs. Figured I'm going to be breaking in some boots, might as well try some good socks that won't make my feet sweat and blister up while breaking them in. $29/pair is outlandish, but I guess they have a lifetime warranty so we'll see.

I use those quarter socks for running ultramarathons. They should be good for about anything, the only downside I've noticed is that they tend to get a little stiff after repeated uses. Might have to wash them in vinegar every once and a while to help.

I didn't see much of anything on this alleged "black friday sale" worth buying if I wasn't looking to buy it anyway. I also checked some pricing history and everything I checked that's on sale now had the same sale price around last July. But beyond that I bought a few things for xmas gifts from family wish lists. Too bad things like groceries or doctor visits don't have black friday sales.

Came to the realization that I'm getting old and I can't see crap up close. It was getting harder and harder to read things like numbers on my insurance cards. My boss came in and let me try on his readers. Good lord they were amazing. Ran to Family Dollar and picked up a pair and a case for $3! I can read all your crap postings without having to squint or move up close to my monitors now! lol

I bought a Remarkable 2 tablet. Thought about going with the Pro version, but apparently its PDF rendering is very lackluster.

Costco had a decent BF deal on a Samsung 4K OLED TV and BestBuy had a really good deal on a Samsung 7.1.2 ATMOS Soundbar so I pulled the trigger on both.

Just getting into setting it up and calibrated but holy shit does HDR content look amazing. Disney's Encanto looks INCREDIBLE compared to my old 1080p plasma from 2013. The soundbar it pretty good to. It has been along time since I had surround sound like this and I forgot just how much it can add to the experience.

Taking my IEM experience to the highest level after a lot of time honing and listening and learning, the Vision Ears EXT Mk ii are en route to me. Don't have any thoughts of taking anything further than this for a very long time, if at all. Unique driver configuration with a 9.2mm dynamic driver for the lows, a 6mm dynamic driver for the mids, and 4 electrostatic drivers for the high ranges. VE is known for their mids and that balance with the rest of the freq spectrum is what I have been looking for in my end game high end IEM in the collection.

I went down the rabbit hole of wanting a weather station in my backyard. As long as I am going to get one I want one that is fairly decent. Holy Crap there are some weather nerds out there. Anyway ended up with the David Vantage Pro 2. I did not get the $200 add on fan that pulls air past the thermometer for a more accurate reading.

Checkout latex dipped gloves. Not as a replacement, but as a cheap adjunct that can be stashed around without a lot of cost. They're all a little different, and I haven't found the perfect pair yet, but Atlas is pretty good. I like the harborfreight gloves, but the latex on them kind of sucks. It peels quickly.

I use them for treework. They get the shit beat out of them, so good(expensive) gloves don't make a lot of sense. Gives great grip on rope, and costs <$3/pair.

Those are what I use most of the time, I like the gorilla grip brand. Not sure they would be good on saltwater slime ropes.

What happened to the pair that you bought not that long ago?

I have them. I'm trying out the ones above that just got delivered.

I'll sell the other pricey ones I have as the sound signatures are redundant. Probably get about $1500.

I have several sub K sets to cover different use cases, such as sound signatures and not wanting to wear pricey IEMs when I'm out and about certain times, which will stay.

Edit: if I posted the campfire trifecta, I exchanged those for these
