New Ranger was a disappointment. It isn't much smaller than an F150. Might as well just get that.

Not much cheaper either. I sometimes look at the new mini trucks thinking that might be an option but they're not so mini anymore, and cost almost as much as the full size ones, so may as well just go full size at that point. They also don't seem to make them with 8 foot box anymore. If you go full size they do give you that option.

Yeah, the new Ranger sucks. I know a manual transmission is too much to ask for these days. Only thing fancy I'd like is a backup camera.

Truck I'm driving now is pretty stripped. It's luxurious compared to what I'm used, but that's only because I drive old stuff. 2016 F150, extended cab, 8' bed, rubber floors, and vinyl seats. It's mostly everything I want, aside from the size. It's nice having the extra room. I don't have to be as creative stowing gear, but it doesn't fit in small places. Gas mileage isn't much worse than the mid size trucks I recently had(Frontier, Dakota).

I think the Civic Si and Type R both have 6 speed manuals. If you're a truck person, it's a little weird that manuals aren't more available. I mean, what if you have 5k pound trailer and you're going up 20% grade? Do paddle shifters work the same way? I have no idea.

My F150 has a nice selection of shifting available. It has a tow button, sport mode, and you can limit the gearing manually with a push button. By default, it aggressively upshifts. That's why my mileage is pretty good compared to the mid size trucks.

Oh, I'm fighting the good fight - 22 Subaru WRX with a six speed. But I'd like a truck for hauling things, including my kayak. Not something I *need*, but it would be nice to have. I don't want to spend $10K on a beater truck with 250,000 miles on it though. Stick shifts are a dying breed. People make fun of me when I drive automatics because I keep my hand on the gear selector and sometimes tap the floorboard to "shift".

Paddle shifters are fun for racing, but I like the instant selection for driving in weird or bad conditions.

Come on, Barge. This anti-toluene aggression will not stand, man.
I have some Barge Cement Thinner. Was looking for some thinner for my Weldwood Contact Cement bottles, that always thicken up when the bottles are half empty. Couldn't find the Weldwood thinner, always could before. I think regulatory laws might be the reason. But having Barge thinner, I tried it and it seems to work. People say acetone works too, and I put in some of that. I always have lots of acetone around, don't think it's toxic or much. Great cleaner, but messes up a lot of plastics. Not fiberglass, though.

Don't remember when or why I bought the Barge thinner, don't remember ever buying Barge Cement.

For me specifically, it's to repair some shoe soles. I have some ooold boat shoes, that are almost new, but the glue gave way, and the soles are peeling up.

Generally, Barge cement is the standard in shoe repair, leatherwork, and other similar stuff. It's professional glue, which is why it comes in such big containers. However, I'm not a pro, and don't need a quart, much less a gallon, so I reluctantly bought the overpriced tube :^D

Here's some stuff I bought to fix some of my golf shoes but never used it. I bought new shoes instead. Reviews were really good IIRC:

Boot-Fix Shoe Glue: Instant Professional Grade Shoe Repair Glue

Sounds just like my truck, everything you need, nothing you don't.

Batteries I bought a little while back are all setup now.

Built the box big enough to add a second string later down the line and ran all the appropriate wiring. Doing a quick discharge test now just to get an idea of voltage drop over time. Been sitting at 48.5v range for a good hour or so now so this is promissing. I had estimated around 12h of run time on one string if I shutdown everything but the server stuff and so far I'd say I will probably easily get that. My TV, and workstation are on this setup too. Basically don't have any small UPSes around the house anymore. Just a couple red plugs in key areas.

I need to build the venting system next, sooner rather than later, but for now I added a current limit to the battery charging so that should help reduce off gassing. Will do a more extended discharge test once that's setup.

Can't really say. I decant it into a Grolsch type bottle with a bail clip stopper, and take a swig out of it daily, or as I remember to. If I had to guess, it's an ounce per swig, so ~128 uses.

I don't buy the *"wellness" woo, but I like it for the jolt of flavor. Something intense to stimulate the senses.

*I fucking hate the term "wellness". It's a word that implies health benefit without having any real meaning, legal or otherwise. It's bullshit word that only exists to mislead.

edit:
BTW, I highly recommend this brand. It's expensive, but if you have a bit of money to burn, it's an interesting experience for the senses.

I got one of these along with and ac adapter for a 9v battery connection.

It's sort of hypnotic for me so I want to have it always running, sorta like my Hypnocube.

Picked up an MSI B550M Pro-VDH Wifi board and another 16GB of T-Force DD4ram so my buddy what has gotten back into gaming with a steambox can finally have a fully built-out-of-not-used-parts PC.

Will integrate his WIFI and allow him to get up to 32GB of RAM which is critical on a lot of newer games.

Solid 5700x3d/6750XT build for a dude that last gamed on a PS2.

My dogcrap B420M AsRock Shitcastle of a board will go out of his PC and back in it's dungeon.

We recently bought a Philips 5500 Espresso machine for meeting some personal goals. For me I still make a regular black coffee with it but its broken me of my "all coffee is pretty much the same" mindset which is a mixed bag. Now I have great coffee at home. But I also finally recognize how mediocre to terrible coffee is elsewhere

You're luckier than most people around.

I once saw a couple arguing after he bought her flowers about "I want money, not flowers. What will I do with flowers, put them in a bin?"
