Have you ever seen the show Hoarders? Well, it's not quite that bad and it's all somewhat organized. By that I mean that I have about a dozen 4 drawer, full length filing cabinets. No idea what's in them though.

OCD is strong in my family. Of course no one would dare admit it. So besides all of the useless paper, there's all manner of other shit too. Honestly, it would be that difficult to just move some things around so he could jack hammer a few holes in the foundation and set up the venting system. I just don't want to do it. But I'm working on changing that mindset.

I've been on Luvox (OCD/depression drug) for almost a year. But most of that was titrating up to my current (and max) dose of 300mg. And the personality changes have been profound and positive. So I'm very hopeful I can start to approximate normal human behavior. You know, things like not living in a Goodwill store that's been hit by a hurricane.
We all share those tendencies to some extent. Best of luck de-hoarding. I have my share to do too!

Just bought tickets to the Greek Islands for July. Santorini and Crete.

With Putin on the retreat, looks like there won't be a nuclear winter preventing us from going. Alright alright.

Isn't that the hottest time in Greece? I once went in late July and it was roasting. Water was awesome tho!

I think August is the hottest month in that region but July is not far off. It's the high season for tourists too. It's a dry heat, I'm from the Mediterranean so it doesn't bother me for a vacation. If there was humidity, would be a whole other issue. Maybe if I had to live there entire summers year after year it would bug me, but on my Mediterranean vacations, I'm fine.

Hoping to do a nice ATV ride in Crete too.

bought Orient Kamasu burgundy red watch. I wear Apple Watch so I don't really need mechanical watch. But when I saw the red dial of this watch online, I had to order and buy it. Very happy with it even though I'll probably still wear my Apple Watch 99% of the time.

Love the watch, but I must know! Do you have the Hermes band on your Apple watch?

Looks like a regular old iphone watch. What makes it so "special"?
The band is what makes it special. I also wear an apple watch, but my band cost me $10 on Amazon. ponyo, I want to be you just for one day.

I picked up ~1800 worth of electrical stuff. A 400 amp meter base cabinet with two 200 amp disconnect breakers, parts pieces etc.
It's not for me, but I will be helping install it all this weekend.

Sounds like you're about to have some fun.

You're going to want to sit down and finish your coffee before you look at the wire prices.

For us it wasn't the price it was the availability. He ran all over Spokane picking up things and not finding wire. I ended up making a bunch of phone calls and finding it much closer to us and he's racing to get there before they close. 4/0 4/0 2/0 DirectBury aluminum wire is $4.89 per foot. This is for temporary power for an RV and also for the construction of a house He's only buying about 170 ft of that and throwing it away at the end of the job. The house run will be about 200 feet and I'm going to strongly encourage him to put in conduit when we do that one. I have seen direct bury wire fail all too often after 15-20 years.

I just paid a $502 copay for a generic drug that used to cost $28. Thanks American healthcare system.
It could be your health insurance no longer cover that drug. Even between stores, prices can wildly vary. My daughter had an ear infection and I paid $100 for 5 ml of ear drop medicine at Kaiser pharmacy last week. Today, I refilled the same prescription at Kroger pharmacy for $35 using GoodRx discount. What other consumer product can the price vary 3x just shopping at different store?

I've never been fortunate enough to have health insurance that covered prescription drugs. And never will until I'm old enough to qualify for Medicare. And that decades away.
