So the 80v lawnmower I bought has been working great so far. Ended up buying a 5ah battery for it. The 2ah ones are mostly enough to do the whole yard but might die just before I'm done depending on how long the grass was. The 5ah ones do it no problem, there's still full bars left at the end. Figured it will be good to have at least one high capacity battery for the chainsaw too when going deeper in the bush and not near the solar station. Got 5 of these Greenworks batteries in total now so I think that is plenty.

A bit taller than the 2ah ones, and much heavier too. Can almost do curls with that thing lol.

Ryobi 18v batteries for scale.

I kind of hope Greenworks comes out with a full size snow blower actually. They do have single stage snow blowers but they're not really a replacement for a full size one. Still have not had a good chance to properly use my chainsaw, I only cut up a few big logs into smaller chunks and that's the extent of use it got.

Bought a Uniden R4 radar detector for my 2013 Scion FR-S this week from Amazon for $350. It's $450. everywhere else. According to the camelizer the cheapest it's been new on Amazon. Uniden R4 on Amazon It's sold by a 3rd party vendor but ships from an Amazon warehouse, got it in 2 days.

There is a 12V socket behind the glovebox on my FR-S. Mounted the rd on a visor clip and ran the power wire down the side pillar to the socket.

Got a DJI Mavic Mini 2 coming tomorrow - along with 2 extra batteries, a carrying case, some extra propellers and the charger that charges multiple batteries. And some Tiffen filters. Been getting some requests at work for drone shots, plus, I'll have two weeks to practice with it before going to three islands in the Mediterranean. Hopefully it doesn't end up on the bottom of the Mediterranean.

Caved in and couldn't wait and gambled, bought used from eBay at $1099. eVGA 3 year warranty (992 days remaining).
Nice upgrade to a eVGA 1080Ti FTW3 I bought at the flea market for $200 Aug. 2019. This system is only on when I do video re-encoding/editing, so once every few weeks.
Still using my Asus x79 Sabertooth, i7 3930K, 32GB DDR3, XFX R9 290X crossfire built Sept 2012.

XFX R9 290X and eVGA 1080Ti on the side. Cooler Master HAF 912 case, Cooler Master Masterliquid ML240R RGB (modded- RGB fans both sides), eVGA 1000G+ PSU.
Sorry, no cable management attempted even if I wanted to try.
See signature, June 2021 built.

GPU size comparison.

Placed on top of my messy messy table. Side cover moved aside to take inside photo.

Great deal 😵. May want to change the seat - could press on your perineum.
Yeah, a gel Selle Royal was one of the swap-outs. It's the same type of wide saddle, but much softer than that old GT that was on there. The top center of it isn't cut out like the Selle Flites that I use to use on my race bikes, but it is recessed to reduce pressure. It feels much nicer.

I replaced: saddle, derailleur cables, front derailleur and left shifting pod, rear caliper with new rotor and brake lever, narrower and smoother tread tires for road use, and a new chain. Also the tools for changing the stuffs, since I can't bring myself to pay another bicycle mechanic (I was one professionally for the better part of 20 years).

Cool beans! Thank god you didn't have to change much I was never a pro, but I did all my bike repairs and upgrades as time went on and I added to my tool collection. I learned about having a proper saddle the hard way - started having ED problems . Thankfully, a saddle with a cutout fixed the problem. Really loved my road bike, really sad that a back injury put me off being able to ride anymore. Have fun!!

On the arcade note, I also got this...

Which was used with this PC I put together...

Which allowed for this lol...

Quick video of it in action. Still have to hook up an audio amp to power the speakers and also hook up the bottom 3 buttons for each player since they aren't part of JAMMA.

That Number Lock key must have really angered you at some point.
I rarely need a numpad, but they're really nice to have when I do need one, so I got a wireless one that I can put away when it's not needed. Gives me a few more inches of mouse space for gaming.

My preference for everyday use is a TKL layout for sure. Higher end custom keyboards are also more difficult to find in 100% size, 60/65/75/80% sizes are all a lot more common.

I spotted a Greenworks string trimmer during my bi-weekly Costco trip ~10 days ago. It was pretty monstrous for the average consumer: 4.5mah battery, 80V IIRC, brushless. Decent price after the discount (~$230). A little old lady was writing down the phone number on the box and I asked her why. She said she wanted to know the cost of a replacement battery. She figured if she buys a strimmer they'll use it 2-3 times a year. I told her it's probably overkill for her and that I saw a strimmer at HD the day before for $60 (1.5mah battery, and doubles as an edger).

I looked at Greenworks stuff online but was put off by negative reviews. I also saw that the 4.5mah Greenworks battery alone was costing the same as the whole Greenworks strimmer package Costco is selling right now!!!

Yesterday I ordered a refurb EGO 56V ST 1510SF string trimmer off Ebay ($99, includes 2.5mah battery and charger), then I ordered a strap and extra 0.90 line (160 feet) off Amazon. I've never used a strimmer, but my neighbor showed me his EGO a few weeks ago. With the shape my hands are in right now I figure I need one! I looked at the Ryobi 40V, 2.5mah, but the reviews are very concerning. Parts wear out prematurely, evidently. I am getting the EGO much cheaper, it turns out. I think the refurbs are probably basically new, it's just an older model that EGO is wanting to get off their shelves.

That actually sounds like a good deal for that lawnmower, I paid around $600 for mine.

Recently ordered the leaf blower, it was on sale for a bit over $100. I hear they go well for taking snow off the vehicle too as long as it's not the nasty wet stuff, so it will get use in winter as well.

And yeah I always make sure that it's possible to actually buy batteries for these things, separately. Typically most of these platforms are pretty good for selling batteries separately. You pay a bit more than if you just get it bundled though.

Ego stuff is pretty good from what I hear too, but I could not seem to find much places to buy it here and selection of what's available was rather low. Home Depot was selling their stuff for a while if I recall but I don't see it there anymore.

Amazon sells EGO and there's Ebay. I'm sure other sellers. Um, that wasn't a lawnmower, it's a string trimmer, that Greenworks on sale at Costco.
