Gave the clinic a bunch of money and they returned to me one somewhat radioactive, but medically cured, feline:

Check if it glows in the dark. Could be useful.
Just before BF, I had ordered some parts to rebuild my desktop after 6.5 years of use.
I do have it in my sig. But here's the PCPartPicker link: https://pcpartpicker.com/b/BDj2FTThis post is a fail without upgrade specs.... how can we unfairly judge you if we don't know what you specifically bought?!?
Went budget/midrange with an R5 5600 + RX 6600
Just before BF, I had ordered some parts to rebuild my desktop after 6.5 years of use. Got to put it all together last weekend: reused my case, PSU (that was only 2 years old), optical drive, and a single 1TB hdd. Nice little upgrade overall, and should suffice for my light gaming needs for the foreseeable future.
Next step is to move my old desktop parts, sans GPU, into my HTPC case and retire most of the guts of that, which largely date back to 2014.
Yep. It was my primary data storage drive in this computer's last iteration, with weekly backups to another, older HDD from the even earlier iteration. Now it will be relegated to backup duties since I have a 2TB NVME drive to cover my data + programs need.Wait what? A HARD DRIVE?

LOL, definitely not. Last computer used a Samsung 850 EVO SATA SSD, which was pretty good, but was getting kind of small at only 256 GB. Haven't used a HDD as a boot drive since early 2013.For a second there I thought you were still booting from an HDD...
At this point a 1300k overclocked to 6ghz would most likely still feel sluggish running off a mechanical HD.
Ruh? Are you becoming thoughtful and polite in your "old" age. Keep this shit up and I see an intervention in your future.Well dangnit THAT'S no good .... can't really make fun of smart choices!
*(seriously congrats!)
I agree that it's been solid. It's going to continue life in my HTPC, replacing some crappy and small Corsair SSD.I actually have that exact same Samsung SATA SSD in my backup PC and it's been rock-solid for years .... currently it's housing the Win 10 "libraries" on that machine.
