Howabout we have a group meet-up in Outer Heaven, and have some Bison Meat. (*)

(*) Bonus points if you get the 90's culture video-game reference.

Ha. I did a quick Google search. MGS. I didn't play the MGS games back in the day.

I wonder which was first
Snatcher
or MGS? Was there a version of MGS that pre-dated the PSX? Because, if not, then
Snatcher! for SegaCD
was the first reference, and MGS was an homage / re-use of that plot-point.

I had no idea.

I was referring to the Metal Gear fan page. Also, back in the day I was playing Madden, or NBA Live. I wasn't interested in single player games. Not until Half Life on the PC. Good times...

I had no idea either. It seems I'm wrong, that it did originate in MGS, and the mention in Snatcher was the Cameo.

Outer Heaven was given a brief mention in another work of Kojima's, Snatcher, as the name of a nightclub.

Just bought a Kramer Jersey Star to relieve my tired old super strat from its gigging responsibilities.

This is basically the Richie Sambora signature Kramer from the 80's, just reissued without his name attached to it.

So far I'm digging it a lot. It'll definitely "pop" on stage more than the old guitar. Can't wait to play it out.

I ended up changing my mind, and decided to get the Darth Sidious Mytho statue instead of the Venom. The Sidious statue just happened to go on sale.

It arrived today, so with Ian impacting central NC soon, I basically just pulled it out of the box and made sure nothing was broken. We've already lost power several times today, but it came back on after only a few minutes. I imagine it will go out for good soon, because the winds have only been pretty mild so far.

I'll have to spend some time posing his cape (it has metal wires in it), and figure out it's final display spot. It's a big boy (21" tall, 45 pounds), and all the storm prepping this week hurt my back, so I really don't want to move around any more toys today.

Butter Boy French butter from Wegmans. Holy shit this is good butter. It's a couple steps above KerryGold, and a completely different product than commodity butter like Land-O-Lakes. $20/lb, and worth every penny. Might not want to bake with it due to cost, but it's great on bread, and probably anything where butter is a featured flavor.

Interesting bottle. What does it represent? Kinda looks like a battered pot still.

Needed some waterproof boots that could dress up a bit, for business casual at work and for social outings.

Went with the Arial Wexford Chelsea Waterproof. Seems it's actually waterproof. Almost got a pair of Baffin Northerns, they were actually slightly insulated too, but they kinda looked more like a slightly dressy workboot. Plus on rainy days when not cold, the insulation could be a bit much.

Some Lululemon pants for the one-off chances I have to visit customer sites. I've been wearing BirdDog shorts exclusively since..April? I refuse to wear structured shorts or pants ever again. Sadly, BirdDogs doesn't carry my size for pants...so having to fork up an additional $10 for the Lulu versions.

I wanted a 6a, but I dropped my phone on the perfect rock while out working on the car and killed it tonight. It was a perfectly good 3a that I had replaced the screen on about 4 months ago. I'm hell on phones, you all have seen my workplaces.
Target had the 6 in stock so I ordered online for in store pickup.
