What are you expecting to see in Antarctica? Ice?
In recent years ice sightings have been rare, but we did see a black rhino in Africa in 2016, so perhaps our luck will hold.

I think I’ll replace the blades on my Honda this year. I sharpen them at least once a year, and while that works…they get dinged up enough that I should just buy new ones again.Well.....it is that time of year so I got some mower blades. I decided to go with some that are made in the USA so we will see how they perform. I also got some oil, air, and fuel filters on order. I'm planning on doing my annual maintenance this Sunday. The weather is suppose to be crap so no better time to get everything out of the shed and into the garage for its annual servicing. Besides the mower the trimmer and blower will also get its annual service this weekend.

I'm on an every other year blade cycle. I buy new ones then on the in between year I take them to work and use the bench grinder to "sharpen" them. I put sharpen in quotes because honestly I'm not very good at it. I've watched several YT videos on how to do it properly but yeah.....I think I’ll replace the blades on my Honda this year. Might want to try a file. I've never done it, but it should work, just slower. Less chance of ruining the temper, or having the grinder get away from you. Use a nice coarse file that removes a lot of material.I take them to work and use the bench grinder to "sharpen" them. I put sharpen in quotes because honestly I'm not very good at it. Yes, it's grass. MOW IT DOWN!Any time wasted on grass is truly wasted AFAIC.
I am by no means a turf guy. I pay as little attention to the grass as possible. No granular fertilizers or weed killers or anything like that but....and you knew this was coming. I have over an acre to mow and I've tried doing it with dull blades before and it sucks. Takes way longer and in the taller spots I have to go over it multiple times.....blah.....Might want to try a file. I've never done it, but it should work, just slower. I couldn't give two shits about my mower blades. I've literally done it once in my life for the lulz. If it knocks the grass down, I consider it good enough. Any time wasted on grass is truly wasted AFAIC.
Bet there is something cheap on Temu that could make your life easier.I have over an acre to mow and I've tried doing it with dull blades before and it sucks. Takes way longer and in the taller spots I have to go over it multiple times.....blah.....
Sheep are better. They're grazers. Goats browse, and they'll eat the shit out of your trees, or just about anything else they can fit in their mouths. But a goat would give you milk and free fertilizer.
OK, let's hear it. What is bad about chickens (other than their early morning alarm bell)? It is bad enough that my wife is pushing for chickens.
The smell.....I grew up in a farming family were the main crops were corn and beans but they liked to dabble in raising hogs, cattle, and poultry and by far the worst was the poultry houses. So many chickens housed in a tiny little space......no amount of ventilation could help. It is not the image of it that is burned into my mind.....it is the smell of it.OK, let's hear it. Maybe you are very smell sensitive. As a kid, I used to go INSIDE the chicken house to get eggs. Yes, it wasn't the best smell in the world but it didn't make me faint. Plus, chasing the chickens around was good exercise. Before anyone goes "how cruel!", if the chickens would just come to me willingly and let me pet them, I wouldn't have made them pant.It is not the image of it that is burned into my mind.....it is the smell of it.
