Do the mounting holes on that thing line up with the holes on the back of a monitor?
No, they don't.....but check out the elegantly simple (standoff/rubber feet) they built into it:

Now that is an interesting tablet. Same screen as an ipad air and practically the same dimensions so you can probably use the same accessories, for comparison. Two new Bay Trail-T Android tablets. Impressive specs, considering the 9.7'' tablet costs 1/3 as much as a 32GB iPad Air.

I don't need another tablet, but I want to play with the Onda if the price is going to be about $210. I am curious on the speed of the emmc and how good the speakers are, that and how buggy the rom is.
As far as I know no existing Intel based phones or (Android) tablets have been fully unlocked. Or did I miss some news? They will be locked down, that does not man we cant figure out a workaround.
I bet 95% of the Intel tablets are closely based on Intel reference design including associated ROM, so the software quality should be goodI am curious on the speed of the emmc and how good the speakers are, that and how buggy the rom is.

Wow, those are awesome! Just what I've been waiting for. Just put in an order for both (8" and 9.7"). It's annoying that it's Android 4.2, but their FAQ (and Intel's general comments) say they will get upgraded to 4.4.
The 9 yr old and the 5 (almost 6!) yr olds will be happy.
The Asus MeMO Pad 8 is a tablet with an 8 inch display, Android 4.4 software, and an Intel Atom Z3580 processor, making it one of the first tablets to launch with an Intel Moorefield processor.
Moorefield processors are based on the same architecture as Intels Merrifield chips, but they offer higher clock speeds, better graphics performance, and Moorefield chips are quad-core, while Merrifield processors are dual-core.
Japanese wireless carrier KDDI unveiled the MeMO Pad 8, and plans to start selling the tablet in August, 2014.

The Asus MeMO Pad 8 features an 8 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.
It has a 2.33 GHz quad-core Moorefield processor, 533 MHz PowerVR G6430 graphics, and features a 5MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera, 802.11ac WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and a 4350mAh battery.
surface mini rumored to have a x86 sku.
The current memopad 7 is actually a quad cortex a7 design made by mediatek (the memopad 10 is an intel clovertrail design). It performs similarly to the quad core cortex a9 in the original nexus 7 (2012).Those Asus and Onda tablets look pretty good. The current MeMO Pad has a 1280x800 screen and a quadcore A9 SoC, so this tablet is a big upgrade and has a low price. August is also a decent release date for Moorefield, although it's nowhere near where it should have been -- September 2013.
Sorry I'm afraid I used the wrong word: I indeed meant custom ROMs. Where can one download custom ROM for an Intel-based smartphone? I didn't find anything on XDA.The Motorola RAZR I is carrier unlocked, and I believe you can have it fully unlocked from Motorola if you void your warranty. I'm not sure how many custom ROMs are available for it, however.
Atom Z3795 doesn't have a HD 4600 IGP. It has 4EUs like all other Atoms.
