I know blackened23 its gona hang me for this, but ill like to ask something that no one ever did so far, PC games, maybe a COD? Sins of a Solar Empire? Dirt3?, GRID2, Men of War? CIV5? Some of Egosoft X games like X3:Terran Conflict? they are all single threaded, RIFT(free mmo)? GW2? HAWX? im naming games ive played on the E-350.

Hmmm... I might have an old COD (1? 2?) CD around somewhere, but I don't think I can figure out how to get that onto this device.

I'll bet I can get steam on here ... maybe HL2? Team Fortress? I, too, am interested in how this does in PC games. I'm sure it'll have limits, but those are likely to be a tad bit higher than the Android/Windows RT device limits. That's most of the theory on this device... get the kids off my devices! Of course I can't in good conscience give it to the kids without, erm, stress testing it?

Try with Rift, its a free to play MMO, but i remember it has very bad performance with Intel IGPs... COD2 whould be also be good.

EDIT: Also, X3:Terran Conflict, http://www.egosoft.com/download/x3tc/demos_en.php has some kind of demo with benchmark incluided.

Dont forget to post all details of the tests, quality, resolution, etc, so i can later on run the same tests on my E-350.

RIFT seems to be 20-25 FPS on FRAPS for Ultra settings. I lowered it to medium and got... 25FPS. ?!? Probably user error.

HL2 Lost Coast (default): 55fps
HL2 Lost Coast (max): 12.5fps (8xmsaa, 16xaf, fancy gadgets)

Yeah wait until RIFT finished download, its probably running on low.

You are running Steam? you could probably pick a few demos from there. There is also the starter edition of WoW.

P.S. Dont try unplayable settings, try to get the best playable fps/details as possible.

FYI, I took delivery today of my own, personal T100 and am posting from it.

Benchmark requests?

What GPU driver do you have installed? I would like to see Cinebench R11.5 OpenGL with the newest driver.

In 1 day ASUS T100 64GB is already out of stock at Amazon and currently holds the 3rd spot @ Best Seling laptops.

Very nice! Someone remind me, is there any BT tablet using the 3770 along with a 1080p screen? I remember those were the exception and not the rule, anyone able to refresh my memory?

You have the Transformer right? How do the controls work? Are you using an external mouse and the attached keyboard?

A really good game to try might be Torchlight 1 or 2. They are pretty fun and TL1 is really light on resources, not so sure about TL2. I recall seeing a demo of TL using touch controls, but it was very limited.

That said, being able to play games on these devices is a plus, but would be a secondary use for me with such a small screen and keyboard. I really would like one for light office use and web browsing, online banking, etc. To me these devices are very attractive vs Android tablets because of their ability to use Windows and run light x86 apps. I never have learned to like open office, google docs, etc. Unfortunately for Intel, I am not so sure that a lot of people feel the same way. Especially younger people that have grown up with smartphones, I think, are happy with Android or IoS.

@ blackened23: Dell Venue Pro 11 and HP Omni 10.

Are you aware of anything similar to this but with a 16x10 panel?

HP Omni 10.

With a slant toward business and education the Omni 10 brings 1900×1200 to Baytrail in a 10-inch screen. An optional digitizer (not officially confirmed) and 3G/4G modem option makes it attractive for on-the-road work. There’s a Bluetooth keyboard and stand/charging station too. HP are saying this will run for 9 hours. The price is an interesting 399 Euro (32GB version) and there’s a 31Wh battery inside. Weight is 650 grams. The HP Omni 10 will be available in November. With a slant toward business and education the Omni 10 brings 1900×1200 to Baytrail in a 10-inch screen. Heres a list of 9 Bay Trail tablets launching now or soon: www.umpcportal.com/2013/10/9-baytrail-tablets-and-2-in-1-pcs-ready-to-go/

It took me a little bit to find someone who would ship it for deliver today, rather than shipping it today. So far so good... of course the battery isn't fully charged yet, but IE/Chrome/Firefox/Minecraft seem to work okay. (The kids were begging .

can you benchmark the microSD slot (using a fast microSD card that you have)? Debating whether to get the sandisk extreme or ultra version

ordered my T100 from B&H, hasn't shipped yet

I took the Sandisk Ultra 32GB MicroSD HC out of my phone and put it into the T100. I copied ~12GB of music to the internal drive and Windows reported 18-20MB/second. I copied a 1GB video and it was pretty consistent at about 22MB/sec. No idea if that's good or not or if my SD card is good or not.

So far I have only used the built-in monitor. I've used both a wireless mouse (with a USB dongle in the keyboard/base, which has a full sized USB port), as well as a Bluetooth mouse that I have.

Cinebench is CPU 1.23 (it ran 1.86GHz the whole time, didn't throttle).

OpenGL was 5.95fps. GFX Driver was Intel HD Graphics 10.18.10.3286 released 8/28/2013.

I gave up on RIFT because it was too big (> 12GB download) and it filled up my disk overnight.

Ok i did a few games test on my E-350 using demos, im very interested in seeing if BT can match E-350. If you do the tests we can compare it to BT.

Pretty old driver. Can you install the newest and try again?

http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23334/a08/

If this driver doesn't work tell me your device id from your Intel HD graphics.

The issue with using Intel-site drivers versus manufacturer drivers on a Tablet/Convertible is that the auto-rotate function does not function well(not all?). On my XPS 12, if I use Intel drivers, I have to manually rotate the screen and is pretty tedious on the Tablet mode. Dell drivers auto-rotate.

i'm not a massive browser snob or anything but the "buttery smooth" and super low latency responsiveness of ie 11 is really unreal vs chrome. the scrolls are butter. the other think I like is the browser bar is on the bottom. which is sort of how I hold my tablet.

on my htc one chrome is a complete disaster. there has to be some bug with it because it drains my battery like crazy. I started using firefox for my phone.

sometimes I feel like the msft and intel hate is a conspiracy. these companies put out great product and get shat on all the time.

chrome used to be my favorite but i went back to firefox cuz chrome cant reliably play youtube videos??@#@#@#$@ it does that stuttering thing with the audio

Quite interesting to have the comparison point of Surface 2 as it's likely the closest in terms of OS behavior that we'll get until Android based Baytrail tablets come out. It's especially telling to see the Transformer T100 almost on par with Surface 2 in both GLBenchmark 2.7 and 3dmark. (Not too surprising as more complicated graphics workloads favor the architectures used in actual computers versus those of the mobile world.)

Then the other interesting point is in battery life primarily for the fact that the video playback number for the T100 is included in the chart - 10 hours on the dot. It appears that windows doesn't behave as well as android in video playback as well, which isn't terribly surprising.

I dont understand GPU results....

GLbenchmark have diferent scores onscreen and offscreen, the T100 gets 15 fps on a 1366x768, and Tegra 4 24fps on 1080P, them offcreen they get 16 and 17?!
On Egypt HD we have a similar result.

What drives this conclusion that this result is a Windows property? If you're comparing against the Shield, don't forget the screen size difference.

What I find interesting is that the A15 everyone was saying is a power hog behaves similarly as a Bay Trail. That said Silvermont has more performance, though quite ironically it's being destroyed on the benchmark old Atom fanatics used to love: Sunspider
