Look at it this way: Smile, you're on Candid Camera! No, those folks out there haven't seen human life but in some thousands of years they will. Maybe they'll see us long after we're extinct, but they may see us anyway. Smile and wave. It's a weird Universe.

I actually don't much care about such things. If you can't relate to sentient beings here what does communicating with extra-terrestrials matter? And if you can, what need to communicate with ETs?
