Hell, some of my immediate ancestors were racist towards their own mixed-race children. Nothing should really be surprising when it comes to racism. People marry members of races they purport to hate, or hate races they are related to or descended from, or employ racist tropes against members of their own race. It's never been a logical or rationally-thought-out belief system.

The link someone posted here to reports of Netenyahu's own son using anti-Semitic tropes to attack a political opponent was quite startling in that respect. Ditto with Tommy Robinson visiting Israel and posing with Israeli soldiers.

Folks, if guns aren't your thing then real pepper spray and a good baton are good ideas. Be it an expandable bat or the smaller yawara / suntetsu varieties out there, have something to harden the hand for one hit solutions if you can. Comes in especially handy when dealing with more than one aggressor. Fog the bastards then dick and throat punch your way clear. You are not obliged to fight nice when defending yourself and outnumbered.

Cities like Chicago can be violent. Plan accordingly when visiting such places.

I don’t know what happened here. Sounds like a vicious attack, but could also be something he lied about or staged for...what?? It seems implausible for someone to do this to themselves, but I have no idea what his personal life or financial situation is like right now.

Hopefully, perpetrators are caught and truth comes out.

Yes, you can, but that kind of Jewishness is rarely, if ever, recognized by the state of Israel as "Real Jewish"...essentially for the sake of applying to live in Israel as a Jew--sort of the de-facto certification of being recognized as "actually Jewish." In such cases, it is first absolutely required that your descent from your mother can be traced back to one of the recognized Jewish tribes.

But that's that thing, which is its own thing. I don't see the purpose of quibbling about whether this guy is "really Jewish" after he identifies himself as Jewish for whatever reason he has. It's nonsense meant to distract and discredit from the outset.


The attack in this story seems kind of bizarre for many reasons, but I don't see much reason to assume he is lying until the police can verify at least some of the details.

I can't remember the last time an actor on a hit TV show did something like this, if fake would ruin their entire career.

It would have made him Jewish enough for the Nazis to kill him. Maybe it matters when describing the guy in general, but when it comes to anti-Semitism I don't see that degree of pedantry is particularly relevant. (I have the impression that Israeli "Right Of Return" works that way as well, but I might be wrong.)
