Was gifted with a keurig & am enjoying my first cups of coffee. This thing is pretty amazing & I love it so far. Where do you get the best deals on K cups?

My mother gets them from Bed Bath and Beyond. She frequently gets discount stuff from them, and I think she pays ~$9 per 18 cups. I don't know how good that is. The prices seem similar across all the stores I go to; not a lot of variation.

Just know that they have horrible reliability issues. My first one had the pump go out in a year. The 2nd one is already showing signs of failure 4 months into owning it.

They are convenient though. As far as deals go, Amazon used to be the place to go, but their prices just kept going up and up and up. Right now I like Sam's Club. I can get an 80 pack of Neumans Extra Bold for $36. That's under $.50 a piece which isn't terrible for a decent k-cup.

They're great until the true cost of owning one gets factored in. The coffee is $20+ per pound for your average swill. Which is about what premium beans start to top out at. Is it really that hard to put some grounds in a basket and fill it with water?

It's not for people that drink coffee by the pot. And it's even better for mixed households that have traditional coffee tastes and flavored coffee tastes.

My wife can toss in a hazelnut flavored coffee and brew it and 30 seconds later I can toss in a bold basic black brew. It's still about 1/3 to 1/4 the cost of stopping by a coffee shop on the way to work so it's not excessively expensive given the variety of brews you can crank out easily.

They sell reusable kcup attachments so you can use your own grinds. I've had mine for almost 3 years now and although it got a bit louder, it still works well. When it breaks, I'm buying another one immediately.

I don't think ATOT is ready for women with K cups.

Katie Price.

As for OP, I still dont know anybody that paid for one. Tons of people get them as gifts, or for the office. I never hear stories about someone buying one for themselves. Too darn expensive. The cups too.

We've had ours for 3 years or so. Was life changing for the morning routine. We get our cups from Kohls or Bed, Bath, and Beyond (or got, rather, currently using our own grinds at the attachment).

It's louder and pumps a little slower now, once it dies I don't think I'll be getting a new one. Opting for something like this instead: http://www.amazon.com/Hamilton-Beach...h+coffee+maker

glad you are enjoying it!

Bed Bath and Beyond has a whole section of K cups now. Prices didn't look bad but I didn't pay too much attention. Might make for a nice Sunday outing for you and the old man

They are convient.
Ekobrew from amazon is a good "fill with your own coffee" k-cup.
Buy three for free shipping then the only incovience is carrying back and forth, and cleaning.

Generally k-cup are better than drinking stale coffe from drip makers.

I am a big fan for the variety, ease, convenience, etc... My big misgiving is that it is somewhat irregular with the volume delivered for a cup of coffee. Far too frequently, you get a half a cup instead of a whole cup.

Just got a bogo at Starbucks that was a deal... I am still new and experimenting with the different kinds but at some point I'll start buying in bulk. Going to check out the ekobrew...

Every single problem posted is due to not descaling the machine with vinegar. If you have a keurig you HAVE to descale it every few months or it will only last a year or so.

Yep, They are always fixable, the longer you let them go the harder it will be to fix though.

You can find 80 packs at Costco for $32 on occasion.

I love mine too. Is it the best coffee ever? No, but it is the most convenient coffee ever. If I really want to caffeinate in style, I walk over to my espresso machine and kill some time.
