The Last Dragon remake

I've been waiting for this for a while, but it sounds like it's never going to happen. Originally it was supposed to have Samuel Jackson as Sho'nuff, Chris Brown as Bruce Leroy and Rihanna as the love interest. RZA was to co-produce. Strangely enough, this was after Brown assaulted her.

Given today's PC environment, I think there would be too many protests over "cultural appropriation" for this film to get green lit. I don't think the original movie could be made today either.

Anyone know more about whether it is ever going to be made?

You're completely clueless. Not just about what the movie is, but about the effect that PC has on the entertainment industry.

It looks like I was 6 years old when it came out. I was watching American Ninja and Ninja 2 or 3 or whatever and police Academy with bewbs in it...so definitely not too young compared to the kind of shitty content I was already feeding myself at the time.

But seriously, I think I probably like it because of when I saw it. I was just the right age for it. We still quote lines from that movie from time to time when I get together with my old friends.

I think Michael Jai White could do it justice. But this is Hollywood, they will get the big name actor people like over who fits the role. I mean, Chris Brown as a lead in a movie? No thanks.
