The Last of Us

The game is good. Right from the beginning it sucks you in with its mood. I played about 2.5 hours(21%) and I'm getting to some parts where you have to fight infected which feels a bit forced compared to the layout of the rest of the game. And there are some parts where you can pretty much run past enemies(sort of like in call of duty. I'm playing on hard, fwiw). Still, I'm interested mainly because the story is good, and I'm not even a big zombie fan

At the start and for the few couple of hours, you are like yeah this is good, not as good as all those reviews make it out to be so far though. I hope it's better because the multiplayer of Uncharted 3 got boring for me after a short while.

so im up to the part where you meet Bill and about to progress from there. Game is fantastic so far. Art direction, sound and total atmosphere are top notch. Characters are very well done. game play is great, the mix of stealth and action is really keeping me on the edge in some parts.

I think the big key of the game is that I like Ellie. Second favorite companion in a game so far. Only behind Alyx Vance. That said she is teetering on a very thin knife edge of being funny and helpful to being annoying and bothersome. So still half the game left but it has been great so far.

Strange how you can craft a million shivs from stuff lying around, but cant find a decent knife. And a lead pipe or aluminum baseball bat wears out? Funny how they spend so much time on everything, and then artificially constrain your inventory which reminds you its a game. When reviews said ammo was scare, I thought it was because you couldnt find any. You find tons, just can't pick it up. They should have went with a Fallout style inventory, where if you just want ammo, you can carry as much as you want.
