Naughty Dawg games are the only ones I don't have to wait for reviews prior to pre-ordering. Egg had a deal w/ $15 GC, effectively making it $45 on release. No brainer.
I would a preferred an end or the world/apocalypse theme w/o the zombies since everyone would be fighting each other for survival anyways. I kinda thought that was how the games was presented the first time I seen it in screenshots. Anyways I really hope they get the game play mechanics down right. Nothing was more frustrating then the gun fighting in Uncharted.

If there's a demo I'm going to check it out. I am much more interested in it now after seeing some of the YouTube footage. There was a good 15 minutes of no combat. What a refreshing change that is!

Polygon brought up my one main concern during their review, the controls while shooting. It sounded really loose, just like it was for Uncharted. In Uncharted, it wasn't a big deal because you have plenty of ammo laying around, but it concerns me in this game.
I know that it isn't made to be played as a straight shooter, but I wouldn't discount concerns voiced from a review sight. There is lock on aiming and I will say this...if you go around shooting you will die and never finish the game. The game is not a shooter and IMO the controls for shooting are not bad whatsoever. It is my firm opinion that anyone complaining about the shooting is just playing the game incorrectly.

Every review I have read so far never onesentioned the aiming being bad. The meat of the game is the characters and the exploration of the wasteland

Where did anyone say they wanted a M4 in the game with a scope? I know that you don't care for shooting in games, but the controls were a real concern. Not enough to make me not get the game, as I am getting it day one. I really think you may have some issues if you have to constantly bring up the same shit in every thread. But I want an M4 with an ACOG and M203 and unlimited ammo! This game sux!
Don't forget 'nades!
Co-op sux too, where is vs. mode?
And here we go with the conspiracy talk. There are now three reviews up that I read that talked about the controls, so while it may not be an issue for everyone, more than one person is talking about it. In the end, I doubt it makes the game bad, hell I didn't like the controls for Uncharted but won't take anything away from those games as some of the best of this generation. Just wanted to voice my concerns, even if it meant I would whip some people into a frenzy.Polygon is an MS sponsored Doritos site. I knew they were going to give it a lower score then others.

Conspiracy? You know that MS gave Polygon $750,000, right?
Anyways this game, like most of Naughty Dogs' other games, is going to be story driven so if the combat is average it shouldn't detract from the overall experience.
