You know a game is going to be good when the people behind it allow the review embargo to lift a week and a half before the game comes out. They didn't have anything to worry about and didn't need to try to hide behind anything. I know that this is the game that has gotten me back in to my PS3. I knew I wanted to play it, so I started playing other stuff. Add in the constant negative press towards the XBone, and it made it that much easier to get excited about my gaming time on my ps3.

It was a good review, some of these sites though have done a pretty good job hiding their pay for review motives though.

Really tempted to preorder this thing at say Amazon to knock the overall price down some since I'll use that Amazon credit...

Yeah, I used to redbox but got too lazy to take the movies back so I end up paying more than Amazon anyways.

Shit. I was excited and looking forward to next weekend until I realized I had it shipped to home and not to store. Don't want to cancel and reorder because it was the special edition that sold out like instantly several months ago.

Maybe I'll dig into my vacation time and take a week off and spend some quality time with my nephew who I'm trying to peel away from mindless cookie cutter shooters.

Naughty Dog always does a bang up job, but I can't help but feel I've already played this game. There's A LOT of survival-horror games out there right now. So the big question is what will be different from everything else to keep the genre fresh.

But how many of them are actually survival horror? Most are either a run and gun arcade game (L4D) or try to hard to appeal to Call of Doodoo players (RE6).

This game looks to have a sense of exploration and suspense I haven't seen in the genre since the first Resident Evil.

Does anyone else think the multiplayer looks really generic? Maybe I missed something, but it doesn't come off as the greatest ever like they were saying.

i had no clue this game even had multiplayer. but i'm sure i won't even pay attention to it just like with god of war. the mp in uncharted 2 was fun for a little bit, but it was more of the coop mp that was fun.

I can understand not wanting to play yet another zombie game. They've been done to death the past couple years. And yea, gun combat on Uncharted 3 was not that great so if someone hated that they might not like this either.

Kind of makes me want to ditch my 360, though since there's nothing good coming out for it this year that won't be on PS3 anyway, and I'll get a next gen in the fall most likely.
