Meh...I used to download stuff for over a week back in the day.

I downloaded a great many mp3s back before Napster was widespread. Only college kids had it so it was all T1 or better connections and we had a dedicated internet phone line, so I could leave it running all night. I even used Kazaa to get a lot of stuff... I spent about two weeks download GTA3 just to see if the PC version was better than the PS2 version.

It didn't run too bad for me, it was just that the radio stations didn't work. I also downloaded C&C:Renegade and Norton and a whole bunch of other things.

I'm thinking about getting the Celeron 566 when it comes out and seeing if it will run at 850. My Celeron 300@450 is still pretty dope, though. Do you think I should just double my RAM to 128 MB?

Oh, and the phone company must have upgraded my lines. I'm finally getting 46.2 on my X2 modem. Previous record was 31.2. It works better than my roommate's 56K-Flex, because that still only get 31.2. He's so jealous right now.

Oh, and he thinks my new monitor is the bOmb. It's the Viewsonic 19", and it was only $549.99 after rebate. The screen is almost perfectly flat. I haven't got the rebate yet, though. (Just like all the other rebates that never came.)
