99% of the Olympics is sports people don't give a shit about. Why should I magically get interested in swimming or track & field for 2 weeks every four years?

Some of the alternatives were better.
I'll watch some events, but over the years I've become a little turned off by all the excess corporatism being displayed.

Let me guess, American Football fan?
The only thing I don't like is that with the time difference, it will be impossible to not already know some of the results before watching at night. That kinda takes the wind out of the sails... why watch Phelps / Lochte race if you already know who won?
I'm going to 4 events!
/QUOTE] Be sure and wave at the camera so that we'll know it's you:thumbsup:

LOL pretending Canadians actually give a crap about summer Olympic sports other than every 4 years...........
The US owns the modern olympics, no real point in trying to attack us for it.

What events are you going to? I thought about going to some of the fencing stuff, but honestly I will just go in 2016 when it's in Rio, I wouldnt be particularly interested in london games as london is pretty shitty overall...
I have a friend who has a chance of making the US team in 2016 anyway.
I'm going to 15,000m finals, 100m Heats, Boxing, Football and I was going to handball, but I gave them away.
Ugh not looking forward to it...
Yeah those are not events I would really be interested in seeing, hope you enjoy it more than you think though!
National pride or something.
Rooting for Tyson Gay all day. I love the 100m and rallies. Probably my favorite thing to watch every olympics.
"We have had a fantastic track record of service delivery over many years in many countries but clearly this is not a good position to be in," he said, adding that the group would still take its 57 million pound management fee.
