Alright WTF NBC. In the spirit of world togetherness that is the Olympics, they've decided that to watch any live-streaming of the Olympics you need a cable subscription. Only issue is my University's cable subscription isn't fucking listed (they use a campus-specific provider).

Are there any alternate sources for sports like Judo that don't get widely televised?

I guess because those channels are onlly available with a cable subscription, so they don't want to give you programming for free. It's lame, though.

Thing is, I get some of those channels, but even they're not showing everything. Shitty thing is this is only a problem in the US, there's free streaming virtually everywhere else. I'd even pay for a temporary pass, but nope. Not an option.

I'm looking into proxy servers.

And if I want to watch Judo? There's almost zero televised Judo coverage, same story for shooting and other more obscure events. You'd think with several channels they could cover everything, but nope. Only the ones with the largest view numbers.

got myself a UK vpn for 1 month (6 pounds) and just stream from the BBC website
they have all events on live HD streaming

works really well for me

jumping through hoops not needed, just a UK vpn and then simply go to www.bbc.co.uk/sports

IIRC they also have all kinds of pre-indoctrination training prior to competing outside of the country. Something along the lines of "They build these amazing places on the backs of slaves and bury the dead workers under the concrete. Also - there are slums outside of here so don't believe everything you see"
