The furor about hearing results before getting to watch replays is baffling. If it's so important that you not know the results before you watch on TV, it's pretty much YOUR job to isolate yourself from anything that might inform you of the results.
i disagree to an extent.
yesterday on the way home from work i was listening to sports talk radio (as i do every day on the way home from work) and they do sports updates every 15 minutes or so. first thing they talked about was the swimming results. i didn't even have a chance to change the channel. no warning or nothing.
then later on i opened a browser and the homepage was msnbc and right on the front page was the same results. i couldn't avoid it.
same thing when i went to cnn.com - it was right there on the homepage in the center.
i think it would be pretty ridiculous to not go to a news site or listen to the radio in general in fear of seeing the results.
