I'm liking the Expanse more than the Mandalorian. I'm still stuck on Mandalorian season 2 episode 2. Just got a bit meh whereas the Expanse plot is just moving along nicely

Admittedly I skipped some season two episodes then got sucked into the final episode while my wife was watching.
Basically hang in there man.

Season 2 writing is not as good as season 1 but you kinda need to know whats going on so watching the episodes is still recommended.

I'm actually kinda hoping that each season is an independent story with only a few main characters and lots of new supporting characters.
Like The Wire.
Its much more entertaining that way.

Finished S2. The Mandalorian is honestly the best thing happening to SW right now. There is some blatant, in your face fan service mixed in with an otherwise solid story and broad look at the SW universe, which is actually kinda nice and I think what everyone sort of wanted from the dumpster fire that was the sequel trilogy.

Its the kind of SW that I'm happy to watch with the kids to form some new fun memories, like what I had from my childhood.

Spoiler: Thoughts on Season 3

I suspect that S3 is going to revolve around Mandalorian politics thanks to the Dark Saber coming into Din Djarn's possession, and him having to walk the fine line between the extremist sect he's a member of and the more mainstream Mandalorian culture which he seems to be drifting toward.

I think there will be some time jumps over the course of the series and the whole thing will ultimately resolve with "The Kid" pulling Din's ass out of an unwinnable situation after getting trained up by Luke. Will also redeem some of Luke's character, since the sequel trilogy basically portrays him as a loser who failed spectacularly to restart the Jedi order.

After finishing Season 2 the kids have been staying the movies over again. It's a painful reminder that Phantom Menace and Clones are just soooooooo terrible. Jango's armor in Clones doesn't look anything like Boba's armor in anything else!

Well Luke Skywalker is suppose to be a kid, and we have no clue of Boba's age in episode 4.

Well Luke Skywalker is suppose to be a kid, and we have no clue of Boba's age in episode 4.

This, we can speculate from the end of episode 3 to current timeline however we have no idea how a clone ages. We do know he was made to have the same skills and maybe memories and not have accelerated aging like the clone troopers. Other than that we don’t know.

Not true. Based on his age in Episode 2 he should be in his late 30's or early 40's in the Mandalorian, which occurs a couple years after the second Death Star is destroyed. The fat fucking twilek got really fat really fucking fast after he took over Jabbas operation. Which makes one wonder: Do Hutts start off skinny and get fatter as they succeed in organized crime?

They’ve opened the Pandora’s Box. Time for Sebastian Stan to pick up Luke’s green lightsaber and face off against Grand Admiral Thrawn, and we can pretend that the Whatever Awakens trilogy was just Dr. Strange playing a mean trick with the multiverse. Who gets to play Mara Jade?
