i understand that fans love the world and lore, but having to lampshade or retcon basic science stuff because some writer was too lazy to talk to an expert in science, physics or engineering doesnt excuse contradictory story plots/actions. the mental gymnastics and contortions fans go through to excuse an obvious mistake/contradiction/plothole is just rewarding lazy writing. you are allowed to expect more from a mega billion corporation dumping money for content to fill its library of ip.

certainly filoni and favreau are massively better than jj abrams "what's in the shiny box" plotting, but some of this stuff really needs a second pass for basic logic.

The problem is if you start ignoring lore you have things like jumping into hyperspace to ram an enemy fleet of ships and get hit with a ton of blowback.

A lot of the stuff we see in the Star Wars universe doesn't make sense compared to tech we have these days in some situations and that's fine.

The latest episode also showed they had no other ships so however they got to that planet who knows but this fixes that issue if you still had an issue with it.

What's truly absurd is the Republic is transporting an Imperial Moff anywhere in an unescorted shuttle.

From what they have shown the republic to be in the series and the sequels it makes sense as they are showing it to be extremely incompetent.

They didn't even have a military force it really seemed during the movies so they must had gone fully demilitarized during this timeframe as we saw there and according to various lore where they supposedly decreased their forces by 90% around this timeframe only 4 years after the battle of yavin after they had won the war and this series started 9 years after that.
