Damn...I couldn't imagine a better cast for these movies. I hear they originally wanted Will Smith to play Neo.

I'd say the movie would probably suck without Laurence Fishburn. I could have done with a better looking Trinity, but I suppose that's irrelevant to the movie...

No, he wasn't too great but he didn't have much dialog, so I wasn't too disappointed. I'm thinking just the original, not the next two.

Trinity was a perfectly-cast actress. The movie would have been yet another teenage crap-fest had they simply picked a random 20-year-old hottie - ala SJ, JA, LL, etc.

I'd say Trinity is the only main person I wasn't crazy over, but she grew on my as they went on.

My whole thought was that in this dystopian future, why should everyone whose "mind is capable of breaking free from the Matrix" turn out to be a young, buxom, sex-kitten? That would make 0 sense (not that the Matrix is known for making a lot of sense.)

That's part of the reason why the second movies sucked. Techno dance parties of young, sweaty hotties? Ugh.

CAM was what, like 32 when she played Trinity? Perfect. The only character more perfectly cast was Agent Smith.

Yea, but you can't argue she didn't fit the role perfectly as well. She had a geeky kickass quality to her. Had she been some gorgeous kunfu fighting chick, I don't think the movie would have been taken as seriously.

Anyway, the MOST perfect character with the best acting would have to be Agent Smith, with Morpheus as a distant second. He was absolutely spotless.

Will Smith would have killed the matrix if he was Neo.
Keanu was the man he played Neo so well, Laurence Fishburne was ultimo as Morpheous
I disagree about Trinity, I say she was perfect for the role: kick ass and she was hot

I liked Reloaded, mainly because there was a lot more fighting.

The lead chick was a big turn off in all three movies. She is too butch and too old. They needed a strong yet fem chick like Jessica Alba.

I was going to comment that keanu doesn't have enough of a dark side in his acting and I had wished for someone with that edge, but then I remembered A Scanner Darkly and realized that he can pull that off... so he was well-cast, just didn't deliver it in a way I was hoping.

Wonder if we'll see a revival in another trilogy (or even a single movie) in the future & where/how it would take place.

(I assume that so long as the "Matrix" itself is still running, there's reason for battle between man & machine/architect)

If I recall correctly (I probably don't...) the end of Revolutions pretty much hinted at a continuation. I'm not sure though, I just woke up and was a little groggy.
