What Fineman is saying is nothing new. The pathetic performance by the US mainstream media during the 2000 election campaign and the build up to invasion of Iraq proved the point once and for all. US mainstream media has lowered itself to the status of old Soviet style Pravda. The really important news is simply too politically sensitive to talk about openly in the US.

A waste of space, simply can be summed up that W made the old Media irrelavent by ignoring it.

Then with funding from other Rich Boy Club members such as Rubert Murdock made a whole new Media similar to the Information Minister of Iraq complete with powerful Brainwashing mixed with Religion.

Sad to have watched the weak minded people of America so easily turned into Sheeple by the Money/Religion machine.

Tammy and Jimmy Baker have to be proud that their style of public manipulation worked so well for the Republicans too.

Once again I see comment after comment about the bias of the "money/religion machine", but no comments about the liberal bias that also exists.

Note, i'm not denying the bias from people like Rupert Murdoch or groups like Fox News, however I also would like you guys from the ideological left to at least also acknowledge the bias of such sources such as the NYT or CNN.

No you didn't. You fluffed Perknose and then started spouting BS about the Media sacrificing the truth in their move to the right.
Ofcourse if they had "truth" they wouldn't have to move from the left now would they? Ofcourse not, and this piece(the topic) is yet another member of the media elite giving up on the charade and venting. It's quite obvious to those who pay attention that the media has been in bed with the left for a long time - maybe it's time for "the media" to actually try to become what they have claimed they were for so long - objective. For some reason I don't think this will happen any time too soon as they seem a bit to arrogant to admit they weren't objective.

As far as Stewart - I'll take his "commentary on today's media" and file it along side what other comedians say about our society/media/gov't.
