The whole point of putting kids in front of the TV is so that you don't have to invest any time or energy in them. Geez. Using the V-chip would mean finding the manual for the TV, reading it, thinking about what the words mean, then translating that meaning into action, in the form of pressing buttons on the remote. Thinking is bad. Wasting time on stupid things like good parenting is bad. Letting the TV raise your kids is good. Just buy for them what the commercials tell them that they want, and everything will be fine.

When I was in highschool my friend Cole started a SSL (Satanic Student League) and had a teacher sign on to be the advisor. The school came to their first meeting and told them they had to leave. His dad threatened to sue the school to either let the SSL meet or disband the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) and they decided to let the group stay. They successfully banned him from posting flyers saying that the mention of Satan "incited violence in students". This was the year after Columbine. :-/

EDIT: The group lasted 1 year and then the school disbanded them because they only had 4 members and the minimum membership for an organization is 5.

again, the schools dont make the decisions.
neither do "the liberals" (whoever the f they may be.) individuals do. so go find the people who actually, you know, put these things into motion and take it up with them. dont sit around and make general statements, shaking your fist to the fantasy giant of power with Liberal stamped in on his illusory forehead...because its not happening that way. the all-powerful liberal baddies didnt get someone in trouble.

How can anyone expect to stay out of the FCC's crosshairs if they don't have a list of things to avoid? The only thing broadcasters had to go on was what the FCC did and didn't throw fines at in the past. To have them start throwing fines (or even complaints) at things from years prior is ridiculous.
