I hate pages that load as you scroll down the page. It's impossible to search the page for keywords (control+F) without first scrolling all the way down to the bottom. I also hate pages that load some elements later so when you go to click something as the page loads an element pops up pushing everything else down and you accidentally click the wrong and now you're on your way to another page.
My partner and I were just bitching about this the other day

Honestly surfing has become a chore. I feel like we should get paid to use the internet. I've thought about recording my screen just to show how much work it is to use the internet.

Also, Firefox looks to have removed the ability to pick a non-https image and block it so you can reload the page so it's secure. This makes no sense.
It sucks that iFrames and java ruined the ability to use DOS text browsers like LINKS.

The migration to depending on JavaScript to do all the client-side rendering and loading has made the internet far worse than it needs to be.

Gmail's spam filter is so effective these days I'm no longer really bothered by this one.

If some idiot company wants to waste their resources sending a zillion
junk-emails to my spam folder in exchange for a discount I say have at it! (not like I'll ever even look at any of them)

And does ANYONE EVER say "yes" to notifications on PC ?!?
My dad is a senior citizen, and yes that demographic blindly clicks "accept" on random dialogs. Mind you he's been using PCs since the mid 80s, so he shouldn't be.

I have that problem quite often. The page changing underneath the cursor just as I go to click on something - quite infuriating. Usually it's an absurdly-oversized advert that is slow to load, so they get the 'benefit' of me clicking on an advert, when I was trying to click on something else entirely.

The stupidest design feature I haven't encountered for a while, maybe they realised how dumb it was? Infinitely scrolling pages with an important menu at the bottom (that you can never reach).

When my mom was alive she would have been just like that except even that being scammed was literally too much technically for her on a computer. (telephone sadly was another matter)

Dad OTOH was pretty savvy and seemed to understand the "anyone asking for money for ANYTHING online/in email is most likely a scammer" thing very well. The actual tech involved not so much though which I find surprising in retrospect since he used to build his own home-audio equipment back in the day.

Be patient with your dad please. (I miss mine every day)

I forgot about the infinite scrolling irritation. They probably do it keep you from getting to the support/contact link. lol.

We have my Mom trained. She is now paranoid and suspect of anything on the web except what she expects. Now she's telling me she needs VPN.
Yeah I've told my parents forever not to click on anything. It helps that my mom's primary computer is an iPad, which is well sandboxed. But my dad's primary device is a Windows PC, so there's always more attack surface to deal with.

You can tell your mom a VPN is hardly necessary:

Huh, just a few minutes ago I got a popup, even with U Block and it also had sound effects . Clever buggers.

I started getting ad boxes on YT vids the other day, so I uninstalled ublock and reinstalled it fresh, that fixed the issue.

Thanks. Been too many years....cause my phone's voice to text doesn't know half of what I talk about... 😜

I doubt your phone is smart enough to figure out Lynx vs Links.

Was playing with Lynx on Sparcstation IPC during my undergrad.

That's fun. I was playing with it on 386's in my high school physics lab, but we had Netscape and Mosaic on a few of the faster systems that were upgraded for Windows 3.11. Ever look up websites using the Internet Yellow Pages?
