Linkage Gold Guts

This is the watch I ordered and got today 10/01. The watch is not completly water proof. Can wear it to wash your face, but not to take a shower, swim, or jump in the ocean with. The watch is self winding and will contuinue to do so provided you wear it more then 8 hours a day. The watch can also be wound up manually, 20 clockwise revolutions, and will last 24 hours, after that, it will need to be wound again, instructions say you may want to get in the habit of winding it every night before bed. The watch has 2 "jewels" that I can see on the front and back of the thing that ticks back and forth. Its red in color, and I forgot the name of that part so please forgive me when I call it the "thing". I dont know about anyone else, but Im more then happy with my $20 watch, so much so I just ordered another one. But I thought I would mention these things for those who may care to know before buying, what the instructions say about the watch itself.

Same watch as above but now with a leather (they say leather, no mention if fake or not, Id bank on fake leather) band, no metal.

Linkage Silver Guts

Linkage to white faced watch

Linkage to Black Faced cut out

Linkage to Full Black faced

Linkage to Black faced, leather band, Calendar, Dual Time

Linkage to Black carbon fiber

Linkage to the whole damn lot for there is too many to list them all one at a time

Not to mention every damn one I link you all to I WANT! I hate being a watch junkie

I just ordered one of these, I just had to, I have never seen a watch this nice, at this price, its just unbelievable!

You got to see the video! The watches, or atleast the first to I linked, are water resistant, saw it in print in the photo of the back of the watch I bought (the first linked one). And I should say till now I have never seen a watch like this, to later find out today, these types are considered Skeleton watches, very cool, I want to collect all they have.

___________________________________________________________________________

I did some Digging on the watches. They are IK Colouring. Made by:
These people

Who seem to been making watches since 1993, employing over 270 people.

Found these two things on Wiki about them; IK Colouring:
1
2

And in all my google searching, and I did this because of people saying these may suck, I mean come on they are $20 watches here, not $100, I mean if I had $100 to blow on a watch I wouldnt be looking at one of these either, but in all my searching I found a ton of people selling them, and I still have yet to find one person really pitch a fit about them being a pos. And even if I were to find one, out of the hundreds of listings I just went through, Id still say thats pretty damn good for a $20 watch. So all in all, I think I am going to be quite happy with my $20 purchase, and cannot complain. If I get a year out of it, I get my $20 worth, and I get a cool looking watch for $20, that I couldnt afford if I were to get even close to the read deal, so a year from now, I will just buy another one.

Just thought I would throw in my 2 cents, since some comments are borderline crap, without any proof to back it up. And again these are $20 watches, why are people getting bent out of shape over a $20 watch. If I wanted a Rolex, Id buy a Rolex, but I can afford $20, so I buy this, and thought others may like to have a nice $20 watch too that can afford to blow $20 on a time piece and take a chance on it like me.

You know, if you even seen my threads, I will be posting my feelings on it when I get it, and if I feel its a pos, I will say it is a pos, but if I feel it is worth $20 or more, then I will say that too. I always take the shit over the edge, but thats me, and it wouldnt be me if I didnt. Like me, hate me, I dont care

I got one as well, in gold, and got a 7 piece LED flash light kit for $13~ shipped too.

That site has become my new favorite, the prices are unbelievable, I hope my order comes for if it does there is a ton of stuff there, cheap as hell shipped no less, I love to get my hands on.

If you all get the chance, check the rest of the site out before you hit the pay button, there is a lot there, even early Christmas gifts and stocking stuffers I found.

This site is incredible. I recently ordered one of those MP3 player to FM transmitter talked about in a former thread. The order seemed to arrive quite quickly--which is amazing since the stuff is sent from Hong Kong!

And there are some real deals, not that most would have a need for this but:

Digital Precision Scale (20g Max / 0.001g Resolution)

That costs ~$23 shipped. This scale used to sell in past years for $200+ (not necessarily the same brand, but the same precision) and were I to order it here in America...I'm sure that the postage would be greater than the $23 they charge total. (Including shipping)

Just Wow!

yes they are very good for small items, but I don't buy too expensive items from them simply not sure about quality. Still love their hobby sections , some very unique ones.

Many, if not all the parts, of these watches uses "generic" parts that are used in many many many fake "brand" name watches. This is so evident when you walk into a watch shop in China and see the same parts and even complete style on various fake "brand" name watches.

And as with fake watches, they are very YMMV. I collect watches when I can and had the opportunity to buy about 10 of these during my previous business stay in China. Half of them broke or stopped working shortly after. One I took apart and found cheap rubber and plastic materials inside. The battery operated watches are more reliable as, you guess it, they run on battery. The majority of the "defective" watches are the mechanical ones.

Prices there are roughly $20 as well so I guess this is a good price. They are much better watches then your $20 watches here, visually. However, YMMV on the watches working after a short period of time. And lastly, you can find much better designed watches elsewhere on the web, but not for the same price.

QFT.

Caveat Empor because you get what you pay for. These are cheap watches for a reason and the is because they are all bling on the outside with nothing worth having on the inside.

Personally, stick to overstock or something like that for cheap watch deals.

Any clue how water resistant these are or what depth they're rated too? I'm always on the lookout for cheap dive watches.

FWIW if you're paying less than about $100 for a watch with a mechanical movement, even from china, expect trouble. Good movements aren't cheap and unlike digital stuff that usually works or not, you can have a mechanical watch that "runs' with some serious issues.

I'll have to check them out. I've got a Freestyle watch that I paid $39 for and it's survived about 600 dives so far. Not too shabby, but it isn't much to look at.

I paid something like $60 shipped for a Seiko 7S26-based dressy automatic. It was gaining about half a minute a day (which is perfectly acceptable for a non-chronometer-grade automatic, even an expensive one). After an appointment with my watchmaker, it's now +10s on average. And 7S26 is the movement they use on the more expensive diver watches.

Don't really like those watches but the site is very interesting. Looking for a flash light that isn't overly bright like for looking inside a pc. Maybe something that has light kinda even across its width instead of really bright in the center. Anyone have some recommendations?

Check out their finger lights, the beam gets wider as you pull away, and has a Velcro strap so you can attach it to a cable, or the case, as you work. Thats going to be my next purchase, and when I come across the link, or if you do, be sure to post it.

I bought one at Target for $10. It has a velcro band

Doesn't even have a brand name written on it.

My advice, save up money to invest in yourself or equities. Bling watches are so 1800's

So you can impress all the girls who are dumb enough to think that just because you spent one or two months income on a watch, that you must be good marriage material

Make that girls who are dumb enough to believe that yet smart enough to tell that your multi-thousand watch is not really a $30 imitation of a multi-thousand watch
