Both of them are joke words that like it has been pointed out don't even insult white people. We don't care because really they aren't that bad. Really when you think about it... there really isn't a horrible derogatory word for white people. All we have is those two and they are pathetic.
I imagine there is a pretty simple list of extremely deragotory words that when used to be hateful or specific against a person are ban worth.
If you really need them written out for you I'd probably say they are:

Why is it that according to you, that it is not possible to use a one word racially derogatory slur (much less a bannable one word slur) against a white person, evn though words such as cracker and honkey exists? is it possible to use a single derogatory word to describe a latino or asian? This forum represents anandtach, and if the magic "N" word is bannable if used in a derogatory way (is there a non-derogatory / non bannable way to use the word?) is bannable, and the word honkey or cracker is not bannable not matter the context, then what does that say about anandtech?
If only one person is offended by the word cracker, when used in a derogatory way, then why wouldn't it be banned? If on 10 black people are here on anandtech as some say then who is the N word offending? If ten white people are offended by the word "honkey", then why is it not an equally bannable offense?
I do know that if I used any racially derogatory word to decribe any race at work, I would be quickly punished. It would not matter if that word offended a white, black, latino or asian or a mixture of any of the before mentioned races. I also would not hear that this or that derogatory word was any better or worse as you described. Here at the business of Anandtech, it appears there is only one such race that can be offended, I just find that interesting.

Even if the person reading it or writing it is too ignorant to realize it. The words were created with the sole purpose of being derogatory no mater how it is used. Just because they are used to describe a person that is white does not make it any less derogatory.

I think what she is pointing out is that the prefix is not necessary and only serves to separate you from the rest of the nation.

Tis a bit hard not to use the prefix when people ask me "So what country are you from?" and I say "I'm American." They usually follow it up by, "No I mean, are you Chinese or Japanese". Of course they usually leave out the Korean option. And of course my favorite classification is Yellow Mongoloid which the Army classified me as.

I do not want to be able to use the N word, but if it is not allowed, there are other racially offensive words that should be equally not allowed. Just because they are not directed towards blacks does not make them any less offensive.
