Yea, once you get the feel for it, it goes really quick. The ones you got may be fine. I'm not personally familiar, but Rothco doesn't have a good reputation generally.

I'm always nonplussed when I have to dig a can opener out. Practically every can now has a pull ring on it!
My can opener has a crown cap bottle opener on it and that's the only reason I know where it is most times!

Not sure if i will love this product yet, but i sure as shit just got one! One sorta just like this, but not from Amazon though! Something tells me i will LOVE it.

Why its great

1. protection sigil for pagans/wiccans/christians with thousands of years of history to boot
2. looks nice and its sterling silver
3. with social distancing the sight of it MAY enforce more people to stay the fuck back/the mask alone does not work here against unmasked lets see what happens NOW!
4. occasional accusation of devil worshiping see #3/if it works with 3, then all the power to me! Thanks for keeping back then. Blessed be, get a mask and stay safe!
5. Mormons or JW may find the Pendant discouraging, never to knock on your door again. Most likely quickest way to land on the do not knock list without saying a fucking word!

Recommended for

See list above but lets say my favorites will be #2, #3-4 for the LOL. When this thing passes, i may adjust accordingly. Desperate times call for desperate measures. I may compliment with Pentacle Mask for best results later on on #3.

USB flash drives, or really flash storage in general. A very common thing that's often taken for granted.

Remember the days of slow, small capacity floppies, then CDs, which took forever to burn and half of them would fail, and they were slow. CD-RWs were a bit better but were still quite slow, and if I recall you still needed a CD-RW drive to read them (at least when you used them in UDF) But maybe my memory is wrong. Let's not even talk about Zip drives which did not last very long and required you to buy yet another drive, and had bad failure rate. Jazz drives were around the same era, but again you need to buy the drive too, and the format was short lived.

Then came USB sticks and they just kept growing with capacity, and just work without any extra hardware. No need for a special drive, no different formats that require to upgrade hardware etc. You can store like 1TB on something not much bigger than your thumb. It's pretty crazy.

this thing here:

you put it on the stove, right on the flame, and you use it to toast bread.
Makes toast that is way better than from the toaster.

"Grandpa, tell me about the age before the internet. Were times hard?"
"Well, the internet didn't make much difference. We had three channels and we liked it."
"What's a channel?"
"Nevermind, I'm going to tell you about the hard stuff, the dark underbelly of the olden days."
"What was that Grandpa?"
"We had cars back then; we just called them cars, not SUVs, and pickups were for farmers."
"You're drifting Grandpa."
"Oh, sorry. The thing about the cars back then, the thing we don't talk about much… they didn't have cup holders."
<gasp> "What do you mean? How did people hold their pops?"
"We balanced the cups on the lower edge of the steering wheel or between our knees. There were no airbags in the way then."
"Didn't they spill alot?"
"That's why we had vinyl seats."

Just noticed that the brand is Kuhn Rikon. They make another GREAT product:

Kuhn Rikon carbon-steel Y-peeler:

3-pack for $15. They don't last forever (made of plastic & eventually the carbon-steel blade wears down), but they are FANTASTIC! They peel everything - potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, apples, mangoes, etc. Plus the corner has a tool for removing eyes from potatoes! I buy a new set every year or two. I'll never go back to a straight metal peeler - useless. Being able to shred even large, hard, and weird-shaped items like butternut squash is awesome!!

This is also one of my highly-recommended accessories for sous-vide & Instant Pot cooking because of how easy it makes peeling fruits & vegetables!

YES--- all of my peelers must be that design. They're so much more efficient and safer

I just bought the Shark IQ and I LOVE IT. It takes a couple of days to learn your room layout, but it's amazing how much crud that thing picks up. I run it every day, and it goes back to it's dock and empties itself. 100% recommend

Desoldering braid that I got works like magic. I can't believe how easy it made removing solder by just using it correctly.

Good braid can be hard to find. I use this stuff at work and it does an excellent job:

You ever use a solder-sucker? Those things are amazing as well, mostly for getting off gobs of solder that would be too much for a braid. This is my favorite:

Maybe its hipster'ish, but I love my Yeti Rambler. 32oz. Put ice in it in the morning - and there is still ice in the next morning. Almost magical in its efficiency and execution.

I want this, a shelf that turns into a coffin oh yeah talk about being practical

That would be interesting to put in the will somewhere as a side note.

"PS: you don't need to buy me a coffin, go to the shelf with my porn stash, top shelf, the first Playboy magazine from the left, take it out and open cover page. Inside are the instructions for the shelf, and shows you how to convert it into a coffin. The alan key is taped under the shelf. BTW that Playboy is a vintage and worth lot of money, it should cover cremation, sell the rest, should cover the rest of the funeral. You're welcome."

I got one as a gift from a company Christmas party...there's nothing wrong with liking well made products I drink a lot of ice water and love that I can keep refilling it and holding on to the ice. Also recommend the handle and the "chug cap" accessories.

This stuff is what I use.

It's awesome. I have a solder sucker but when I was using it with my old iron and old braid, it was complete and utter shit for me and didn't do crap. It took me like 2 hours to desolder 10 or 12 pins on the sound amp on my MK2 sound board when I was replacing it. And it was sloppy to boot.

Then I got that stuff after someone recommending it and used it with my new Hakko iron for the first time, and was blown away. I don't know if it was both my old $15 Radio Shack iron mixed with generic braid that sucked before, but the combination of a good iron and good braid was like magical how it sucked the solder right up. Like there was no need to even attempt to use a solder sucker because it got everything.

I was on the fence about buying the $250 Hakko desoldering gun before I did my first capkit/flyback but opted to try this instead, and glad I did this because I saved $250.

Wait what? This is the first time you are hearing about it?
I mean the specific kind I got. I had some before that didn't work at all like the new stuff I got did.

This was the specific video that I watched and was like WTF THAT IS NOT HOW MINE WORKS!

Then I googled for braid with flux in it and ended up with that Superwick stuff up above.

Generally speaking I never had use to desolder stuff until a few months ago. I probably could have used it way back in the day when I modded Playstation's though and ruined a few due to bridging legs on chips. This braid could have fixed it right up.

Just two of us, but we buy almost all of our food at Sam's Club or Costco. The savings are significant and vacuum sealers make it practical. We freeze fresh food, usually meat, and cooked food which only needs thawing then heating as a convenience, especially if the weather is bad and I don't want to grill.
