I use this to lubricate everything. Is there stuff I shouldn't use it on?
I love this idea,nice find!this thing here:
you put it on the stove, right on the flame, and you use it to toast bread.
Makes toast that is way better than from the toaster.
USB flash drives, or really flash storage in general. A very common thing that's often taken for granted.
Remember the days of slow, small capacity floppies, then CDs, which took forever to burn and half of them would fail, and they were slow. CD-RWs were a bit better but were still quite slow, and if I recall you still needed a CD-RW drive to read them (at least when you used them in UDF) But maybe my memory is wrong. Let's not even talk about Zip drives which did not last very long and required you to buy yet another drive, and had bad failure rate. Jazz drives were around the same era, but again you need to buy the drive too, and the format was short lived.
Then came USB sticks and they just kept growing with capacity, and just work without any extra hardware. No need for a special drive, no different formats that require to upgrade hardware etc. You can store like 1TB on something not much bigger than your thumb. It's pretty crazy.
use it for making clarified butter.
YES--- all of my peelers must be that design. They're so much more efficient and saferJust noticed that the brand is Kuhn Rikon. They make another GREAT product:
Kuhn Rikon carbon-steel Y-peeler:
3-pack for $15. They don't last forever (made of plastic & eventually the carbon-steel blade wears down), but they are FANTASTIC! They peel everything - potatoes, carrots, butternut squash, apples, mangoes, etc. Plus the corner has a tool for removing eyes from potatoes! I buy a new set every year or two. I'll never go back to a straight metal peeler - useless. Being able to shred even large, hard, and weird-shaped items like butternut squash is awesome!!
This is also one of my highly-recommended accessories for sous-vide & Instant Pot cooking because of how easy it makes peeling fruits & vegetables!

Wow! What's the trick for that?
Desoldering braid that I got works like magic. I can't believe how easy it made removing solder by just using it correctly.
I want this, a shelf that turns into a coffin oh yeah talk about being practical
Eco-Responsible Furniture: This Bookshelf Can Be Reassembled Into A Coffin After The Owner’s Death
Designer William Warren created a set of bookshelves that will last you a lifetime: they can be reassembled as a coffin.www.boredpanda.com
Maybe its hipster'ish, but I love my Yeti Rambler. 32oz. Put ice in it in the morning - and there is still ice in the next morning. Almost magical in its efficiency and execution.
This stuff is what I use.Good braid can be hard to find. I use this stuff at work and it does an excellent job:
Desoldering Braid | Solder Removal | Pre-Fluxed Copper Wick | Desoldering Wick | Techspray
A desoldering braid or desoldering wick is used to remove solder, which allows components to be replaced and excess solder to be removed. Techspray desoldering wicks are available in static dissipative bobbins (Except where indicated) for static sensitive environments.www.techspray.com
You ever use a solder-sucker? Those things are amazing as well, mostly for getting off gobs of solder that would be too much for a braid. This is my favorite:

I mean the specific kind I got. I had some before that didn't work at all like the new stuff I got did.Wait what? This is the first time you are hearing about it?
Just two of us, but we buy almost all of our food at Sam's Club or Costco. The savings are significant and vacuum sealers make it practical. We freeze fresh food, usually meat, and cooked food which only needs thawing then heating as a convenience, especially if the weather is bad and I don't want to grill.Vacuum sealers. I fucking love em. I like em for freezing food. I use it for making clarified butter. I use it to store things I want kept clean and dry.
