Don't you mean the .13 Tualatin-based Celerons? Those Celerons were great OCers.

"133FSB is a starting point."

I've seen quite a few Tualerons in FS/T that seem to be clocking up to ~150FSB.

It's running stable at 19x205=3895 on a slk-947 now, 1.504V(1.550V idle), 47C under load (SETI).
It runs SuperPI 1M in 42 seconds(memory @1:1 2.5-3-3-7 for now, will rebench at 2-3-2-6 once CPU is maxed out).
At 3895mhz, I get 10714 ALU in Sandra CPU benchmark.
I'll update with more benchies once I maxed out the CPU.

On one hand, I'm happy about the 1.37ghz oc to 3.9ghz from a $87 cpu from Fry's.
On the other hand, I think a similarly-priced 2.4A Prescott oc'ed to 3.6ghz should be able to beat a Celeron D @ 4ghz, any thoughts?

From the benchmarks I have seen it looks like the Celeron D needs about 400mhz to match its big brother the P4.

what is the comparable time and speed for P4? for the SuperPi test

Yeah, that's the one. Those were awesome! I still remember my trusty 1.0A runnning at 1.33 and 1.4 GHz effortlessly. My TUSL2-C motherboard was holding me back, but the chip wanted to go higher .

If there will be socket A semprons, they will be like slightly crippled XP chips. The socket 754 semprons seem impressive, though.

All I can say is wow. Running the Celeron at a constant 3.8 is still a huge risk. Never know what long term effects are. Normal clocks are rather unimpressive. I'd go for a P4 any day.

lets just add a little letter at the end of what u typed and make it an "AXPM". The oc on those are amazing and will beat a 4gig celeron in gaming

well you don't think enough
are you sure EVERY or even MOST celeron will get to 4ghz? i doubt it
but all of the xp-m can do 2.4 atleast
while some even get 2.5ghz on air
and dont you forget that xp is rated @ 2400 while celeron is 2.8 so celeron already has the advantage but it is still garbage @ stock

I still don't see any of these Celeron Ds for sale. Newegg doesn't list them yet. Do any online vendors carry them yet? I'm also interested in knowing if they will run in a 845PE chipset motherboard, such as an Abit BH7?

Finally broke into 4ghz!
Using a Corsair Hydrocool 200ex, it's running at 4008mhz (19x211) on 1.6v.
Load temp at 39C, vcore drops from 1.6v to 1.55v.

With my 350w Antec, I can only go up to 1.6 vcore which 12v is already at 11.8v.
At 1.625, it will not go into Windows at all.
My 550w should be here any day.
4.3ghz @ 1.65v here i come
