Very nice, Mazda!
Just think, the new 3 will follow in its footsteps!
Edit: easily the best looking car in its class.
Can I get the turbo 4 FSI with AWD and 6-speed?

Hmm, I kind of like the look of it. I wonder when (or if) they'll be making a Speed 6 version of it.
(I love my '06 Speed 6, and a new version would certainly be tempting ).

Umm, what other mid-size mainstream sedan comes close to touching this in styling?
Given the direction the Mazda6 took, the next Mazda3 is gonna be drop dead gorgeous

Holy hell, if they make a Mazdaspeed version of this based on the 5-door, I'll be trading in my Speed3.

The NA V6 rated around 250-280 BHP and 280 lbs of torque won't be enough for you?
I remember ford toating their new 3.5 V6 Cyclone and how easily it is to scale in BHP/Torque and eaisly made for forced induction. I wouldn't be surprised if they offered a super charged V6 in America. If they do, you can throw out your juiced 4 banger.

I wasn't speaking of styling alone, as a former Mazda owner I've never been satisfied with their quality/longevity/ease of maintenance. Obviously I hope the new Mazdas continually improve in these areas, but as yet I remain unimpressed.
Styling-wise, the 6 looks a little bit too much 'boy-racer/ricer' to me. The new 6 even more than the old. I generally prefer styling that is clean and not exaggerated. Of course, I dislike even more the truck-looking blocky nastiness that is the new Accord/Camry.
Nice looking Sedans (not necessarily in the same price range, mind you)

Personally, I'd take an Altima V6 w/6-Spd over the new Mazda 6, but neither car is really amazing. The BMW 3 series, Infiniti G, Acura TL, all continue to offer a ton more class and refinement for not a lot more $, if you buy carefully. Resale value is superior as well.
EDIT : Not sure why I can't fix the picture links, it keeps putting the https:// in there even after I edit and delete it.
EDIT 2 : LOL I keep making it worse with my edits, I'll just let whomever wants cut & paste

Really, so cars costing $10K more are more refined? You don't say

Looks good, for the most part. But why on earth did they use canned guages like the 3? I just recently purchased an '07 3i, and those guages are one of my few complaints. Great at night, but sometimes difficult to read in the daytime because of the shadows.
EDIT: Looks like the guages on the new 6 aren't set quite as far back, but I would still prefer no cans at all.

Yep, an irritant to me as well. I also dislike the emerging trend of Tezza-fied taillights. I think the Altima is a great car and a great value (love that 270hp 6-speed coupe), but the Tezza-look is overplayed, imho. Looks like ricey aftermarket junk from 2-bit ebay peddlers.
