Also, why do you work for Apple, since it sounds like you hate it so much? I mean, for you to know exactly what the activity is in regards to iOS apps, you must be on the inside. I guess, you have or made more money than a quarter of a billion dollars? Since you scoff at an iOS success story, you clearly have had more success in other business ventures.

This. I think the rate for developing and publishing an average app is like $2K now. There are companies that provide turnkey solutions while completely outsourcing the coding process. The coding part is essentially completely commoditized.

Of course there's money to be made, but no "billionaires" and without a string of big hits not even millionaires, definitely not on iOS alone...there's far fewer iOS success stories than there are lottery winners in any given year and their "market" is getting so saturated they will be even more rare in the future. I think the issue that most people have is that for every Angry Birds, you have thousands upon thousands of other apps that never even make it nearly as big. That doesn't mean that an app isn't popular or doesn't make any money, but I sure as hell wouldn't expect that "Bustin' Jeiber" is going to make him anything more than some extra lunch money.
