LOL @ Republicans complaining about not letting a crisis go to waste. Did you tomato heads forget 9/11? In your recollection/revisionist history, did Bush let it go to waste? Or did he use it to expand the military industrial complex, drastically alter civil liberties, and get us stuck in a decade long quagmire?
All of which Obama has continued...

He told us he was going to change things. He told us that repeatedly. That's why he gets the criticism he's getting. Plain and simple.

He's the president, not a dictator. I don't like his capitulating to the moronic TEA Party, far right Republicans, and DINOs but the executive branch has only so much power. How many filibusters did the R's do from 2009-2011?

Uh yeah because the alternative is what? Leave Iraq and let it turn into a postapocalyptic wasteland?

Keep giving terrorists civilian trials so they get off on technicalities due to Bush's bungling?

Isn't that what people wanted Bush to do?

I recall seeing war protests all the time, seems they have mysteriously disappeared around January of 09...
Oh wait, those were just anti-Bush protests, my mistake.

Hey, Obama will cut the deficit in half. He was refering to his own 1.8 Trillion a year, not Bush's 400 Billion per year.

The far left was and still is protesting both wars, and want to pull out and let those worthless brown people on the other side of the world die... and now the far right is too. The difference is the far right wasn't anti war until now...

The right hasn't suddenly become anti-war.

They are just anti-Democrat-started-war. And that is due to the fact that Democrats have a tendency to get us involved in wars that have nothing to do with our overall national interests.

We have no national interest in Libya. And if we are suddenly interested in over throwing dictators then why aren't we going after them all over the world? And why was Obama giving grand speeches against what we are doing in Libya just two years ago?

Obama backed himself into a corner and can't figure out how to talk himself out of it.

Some people on the right have been against both wars (there are people who are like that you know). (Ron Paul et al)

There are a lot of people on the right that are for this war (John McCain et al)

Then there are some people on the right that are for the war but are upset that Obama got no authorization from congress.

Then theres people on the right that are upset because this was not at all in our interests.

Then there are some of the hypocrites out there as well.

He is Jimmy Carter part 2.

And chances are that Obama doesn't survive either. It will either get killed in the courts or the next President will repeal or at least gut most of the bill.
Romney wouldn't. Huckabee wouldn't. Do you think Palin or Gingrich are going to beat Obama? Just asking

And Obama is no Jimmy Carter.

I'm so glad the old confused smiley is back. Though the googley eyes one would be even better
What does Libya have to do with our national interests?

Why are we there?

What are our goals?

How do we know when we have accomplished our goals and can leave?

Of the people you just mentioned Romney is probably the only one with a chance of winning the nomination.

Just because the media gives Hubabee and Palin all the attention that doesn't mean either of them are even going to run. Palin has shown no sign at all of setting herself up for a run, I think she realized that she wouldn't have a chance at this point.

The most likely Republican nominees are Romney, Haley Barbour or Pawlenty.

Expect one of them to use the old Reagan line "are you better off today than you were four years ago?"

How does Obama respond to that question?

I hate Obama, but you can't even begin to think about "doctrine" until well after he is out of office and you are able to examine all of the cause and effects his decisions have had.

So the debt during all 8 years of bush only increased by 3 trillion?

Sorry, I meant to say $600 Billion, that was the number everyone was using up till his last year in office, but it is actually $560 Billion.

When Bush took office the national debt stood at $5.727 trillion.
When he left, it was $10.7 Trillion. That's a difference of $4.97 trillion

Take out the last year of his term in office since that was when Tarp was funded and that would be a difference of $1 Trillion. The first 7 Years in office, $3.97 Trillion averages $560 Billion
