Fair enough, I just look at the crap Newt is pushing and the war on facts and education being pushed by palin and bachman and the rest....
I am starting to get deeply troubled by the anti-muslim fervor becoming mainstream.

Truth or any deep realization of what is out there IS profoundly troubling when you first come to it because we live under the delusion there is something external we are supposed to do about it.
The violence of the left and right, using force to better people, are opposite sides of the same coin, the refusal to feel what one is feeling. Your terror of the hideous bigotry of the authoritarian right, improperly understood leads to the bigotry justifying their extermination, and their fanatical need to keep you from doing to them what they want to do to you.
The fear of the other's hate, and the hate for them it generates are one and the same thing, the fear that they will do to you what has already happened. The terror, in your case, of the bigoted authoritarianism of the right is a feel of being controlled, made to conform to hell.
That already happened long ago. We were all psychically murdered as children, made to conform, told we were worthless if we didn't, threatened with denial of love.
Everything we fear has already happened. Nothing that we do externally can change a thing. We live in a world where everyBody is asleep to what he or she feels, walking zombies, repressed killing machines.
You can't change them. They are dead emotionally and will not ever again feel their pain. You can only awaken yourself. To awaken yourself is to feel your pain, the pain that you can't change them, that they are totally lost and deeply asleep.
Sit down like the Buddha under the bo tree and feel it all. Let go of all hope and dreams. Awaken the child that was murdered and feel his love. All the suffering in the world is his tears to be born again. This world is dead to love but you can put it all back again. The love you seek out there is within.
God didn't die. You did.
