The difference is edging up to 51% vs 47% of the vote, about 5 million votes between the two. Greater than the difference between Obama and Romney, which was never a close election.

Technically, this was also never fucking close. Not at all. The perception was only created by garbage laws that the repubs forced on certain states to cripple the vote count and slow it down so that they could brew more chaos these couple of days.

I was thinking about that this morning. Republicans are craven enough to find a few faithless electors or contrive just enough doubt in just enough weak minds to try something stupid. At least a couple of times.

Despite Democrats clinging to some power here and there. During my life time there is only ever been Reagan era trickle down economics. With an increasing gap between productivity and compensation. Every year our workers grow poorer. Throughout Clinton and Obama. No Democrat wining election has made a big enough difference to "fix it".

Why would this victory be any different? This is America. A President rarely has Congress. And usually only by a coalition that will refuse some basic prnciples, such as helping our fellow man not starve to death or become homeless. Even the Blue Dog Democrats will tell them to eat shit before they vote for Medicare for All or a Basic Income. Obama had to compromise on the ACA for this very reason. Winning isn't enough because America is designed for a divided government with powerless actors pretending they can make a difference.

Re: The outcome of the election.

Trumpers are poised to take voter fraud to Court and try to overturn certain State election results. Get them tossed out. They will attempt to send this election to the House of Representatives by not allowing anyone to reach 270 EC votes.

We may have to depend on the SCOTUS holding firm over the next month. Maybe even until Congress certifies the results in January.

Don't know about you, but a 6-3 SCOTUS makes me nervous.
